About the Opportunity :

We are hiring a Tech Lead – Fullstack Developer for a well-funded product startup building an enterprise-grade SaaS platform in the Cybersecurity domain.

The role involves designing and delivering scalable microservices and cloud-native applications in a high-performing, Agile engineering environment.

You'll work alongside industry veterans from billion-dollar digital firms, contributing to technical design, product architecture, and engineering best practices.

Mandatory Skills : Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS (or any modern JavaScript framework), RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Hibernate/JPA, Multithreading, and Microservices architecture.

Role Highlights :

• Lead fullstack product development using Java (Spring Boot) and ReactJS (or similar frameworks).
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Write modular, secure, and efficient code optimized for performance and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and influence architecture decisions across the team.
• Participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Key Skills Required :

1. Strong expertise in Java (mandatory) and Spring Boot.
2. Proficient in frontend development using ReactJS or similar frameworks.
3. Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
4. Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Hibernate/JPA, and transaction management.
5. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure/GCP).
6. Understanding of API Gateway, ACID properties, multithreading, and performance tuning.
7. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and Agile methodologies.
8. Strong debugging and profiling skills for performance bottlenecks.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Pentaho, Apache NiFi).
• Exposure to the Healthcare or Cybersecurity domain.
• Familiarity with OpenAI APIs or real-time analytics tools.

Job Description

The current application landscape features multiple Java web services running on JEE application servers, primarily hosted on AWS, and integrated with various systems such as SAP, other services, and external partners. Responsibilities:

Independent front- and backend implementation of business functionalities, defined as user stories by the customer, considering the cost-value ratio and maintenance effort for the customer 

Implementation of user stories and incidents, including concept, implementation (including automated unit tests), and communication with the customer within the agile development process.

Database activities such as creation or modification of database schema as well as implementation of database access, queries, and data modification 

Interface realization based on standard principles like REST or SOAP

Implementation of given Identity and Access Management Patterns for securing the application

Analysis and resolution of issues (3rd Level Support).

Documentation of the implementation.

Consultancy in technical and business topics within the applications.

Usage of selected tools for implementation, testing, rollout, and support.

Participation in regular meetings with the client to track the status of assigned tasks.

Requirements:

Experience with JEE technologies such as JPA, EJB, CDI, JAAS, and SAML.

Experience in technology related to JEE, like Maven.

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, Angular, and Bootstrap.

Strong knowledge of SQL.

Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, JSON).

• Responsible for building the architecture, key components, and middleware of the platform and developing fully multi-tenant systems

• 5 to 9 years of development experience with Java and related front-end and back-end technologies, and experience working in a distributed systems environment.
• Extensive experience in developing full stack end-to-end scalable and distributed applications.
• Experience in SaaS Application architecture & design and working with database modeling and design concepts. Understanding of database design and maintenance and experience with SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience with developing loosely coupled design, Micro-services development, message queues, and customized application deployment using RESTful services, implementing REST APIs with Spring or JAX-RS.
• Working knowledge of either Spring boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Struts Framework, building REST based Web Services using Java EE Standards
• Have experience in single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and security background.
• Knowledge of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0) workflow engines such as Activiti, jBPM, Orchestra, and Flowable, however not mandatory.

• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Good familiarity with Linux operating system, managing Linux servers and using AWS (EC2, S3).
• Familiarity with administering, automating, and deploying to cloud-based environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, or working experience with Kubernetes.
• Should have used GIT.
• Understanding of search technologies such as Solr, ElasticSearch, and Lucene
• Have working knowledge in CI/CD pipelines (Concourse/Jenkins), and at times wear multiple hats to double up as Dev Ops

• Fundamental understanding of JavaScript front-end development.

• Experience with Angular and TypeScript   
• Experience upgrading applications from Angular 5 to 6 is a plus. 
• Experience using SOAP or REST APIs   
• Familiarity with Bitbucket, Rally, and REST API Clients is a plus.   
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills is an absolute must.
