Java Developer

Job Summary: 

We are in search of a proficient Java Lead with a minimum of 10 years' experience in designing and developing Java applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of Java technologies, including Java EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernate. Proficiency in database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL is essential, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and efficient Java solutions.

You have a proven ability to lead mid to large size teams, emphasizing a quality-first approach and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. As a Java Lead, you are responsible for overseeing project planning, implementing best practices, and driving technical solutions that align with business objectives. You collaborate closely with development managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to design scalable and robust Java applications.

What You Will Do: 

• Design and development of RESTful Web Services. 
• Hands on database experience (Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL /SQL Server).
• Hands on experience with developing web applications leveraging Spring Framework.
• Hands on experience with developing microservices leveraging Spring Boot.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies. 
• Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins & Git Lab), CICD Tools.  
• Strong believer and follower of agile methodologies with an emphasis on Quality & Standards based development. 
• Architect, design, and implement complex software systems using [Specify relevant technologies, e.g., Java, Python, Node.js. 

What we need? 

• BTech computer science or equivalent 
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Java/J2EE technologies
• Experience in building back in API using Spring Boot Framework, Spring DI, Spring AOP
• Real time messaging integration using Kafka or similar framework 
• Experience in at least one database: Oracle, SQL server or PostgreSQL
• Previous experience managing and leading high-performing software engineering teams

• Strong Experience in Java and related frameworks such as EJB, Spring and Spring Boot
• Strong Experience in REST API based Microservices development & integration that includes long running orchestration services
• Experience implementing services with modern authentication using OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT
• Implementation Experience in RDBMS (DB2/PostgreSQL) and good SQL query knowledge
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub CI/CD or Jenkins or Maven
• Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core

• Understand the requirement and convert that into API design.
• Write the code independently 
• Unit testing and bug fixing
• Write code with standards and conventions and follow best practices.
• Know how to engineer a full-fledged system and not just write code to make things work.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, scrum.
• Should be able to guide juniors.
• Communication with clients for requirement understanding.

• Development of new modules & functionality.
• Fixing of the production bugs for existing clients.

• Participate in technology discussions to perform POC’s & help in scaling the application

What you bring: 

Knowledge / Experience

• 3-5 Years of hands-on experience on Java with knowledge of Garbage Collector, JMS, Event Based programming, Collections, Java Streams, Spring Dependency Injection Framework.
• Experience in Angular 2+.
• Experience working with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Working knowledge on application Servers (WildFly)
• Strong experience in REST Web Services.
• Good knowledge in writing DB queries (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environment and proven knowledge of scripting languages
• Exposure to MQ / AMQ messaging system.
• Sound knowledge of Design Patterns

Skills

• Desired to have knowledge of JMX
• Agile – SCRUM or XP or TDD methodology preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 9+ years development experience in JAVA (using OO Design and Analysis, Design Patterns, etc.)
• High experience in Java 8 Required.
• 4+ years’ experience building highly scalable, distributed and reliable Restful Web Services using Spring, Jersey, etc.
• Should have knowledge on Cloud applications preferably on AWS.
• Knowledge on building Front end applications using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with relational DBs like MySQL and NoSQL Database like MongoDB, Solr/Lucene will be a plus.
• Experience with Tomcat, Jax-RS, REST, JPA, IntelliJ, Groovy, Hibernateis must.
• Experience with build technologies like Gradle, Jenkins will be a plus. 
• Experience with Test Driven Development using TestNG/Junit testing frameworks.
• Experience working with version control like GIT.
