Job Title: Java Developer

Experience range:- 3-6 Years

Location:- Chennai

Face 2 Face Drive : Friday & Saturday (11th & 12th July 2025)

·    Strong written/verbal communication skills

·      Minimum 3+Years of Core Java Programming with Collections Framework, Concurrent Programming, Multi-threading (Good knowledge in Executor service, Fork joins pool and other threading concepts)

·    Good knowledge of the JVM with an understanding of performance and memory optimization.

•  Good experience in Spring boot.
•  Extensive and expert programming experience in JAVA programming language (strong OO skills preferred).

•  Excellent knowledge on collections like, Array List, Vector, LinkedList, HashMap, Hash Table, HashSet is mandate.

•  Exercised exemplary development practices including design specification, coding standards, unit testing, and code-reviews.

•  Expert level understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts and Data Structures

•  Good experience in Database (Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server) like indexing (clustered, non-clustered), hashing, segmenting, data types like clob / blob, views (materialized), replication, constraints, functions, triggers, procedures etc.

You will be working hands-on on a complex and compound product that has the potential to be used by millions of sales and marketing people around the world. Your contribution to delivering an excellent product platform that:

• enables quick iteration
• supports product customization
• and handles scale

What do we expect you to have?

• 2+ years of experience in backend engineering
• An intent to learn and an urge to build a product by learning different technologies
• Interest in writing complex, scalable, and maintainable backend applications
• Tech stack requirements:

Must haves

• Experience in building application server in Java (Spring / Spring boot) / NodeJS / Golang / Python
• Experience in using SQL databases and designing schemas based on application need
• Experience with container services and runtimes (docker / docker-compose / k8s)
• Experience with cloud paas (AWS / GCP / Azure cloud)
• Experience and familiarity with microservices’ concepts
• Experience with bash scripting

Good to have (Preferred)

• Preferred experience with org wide message queue (rabbitmq / aws sqs)
• Preferred experience with task orchestration services (apache airflow / aws step function)
• Preferred experience with infra as code (or system configuration) tools (terraform / chef / ansible)
• Preferred experience with build essential tools (make / makefile)
• Preferred experience with monitoring and tracing systems for performance / system / application monitoring (grafana + loki + prometheus / aws cloudwatch)

• You would be directly working with the co-founder & CTO who has built multiple companies before and has built large teams in large-scale companies like ThoughtSpot, Unacademy, etc.

Position details

• Fully remote.
• 5 days/week (all public and government holidays will be non-working days).
• No specific work hours (we will sync over zoom over the course of the day).

• Experience in designing & developing systems/software for large business environments (Java, J2EE).
• Strong design and coding skills in Enterprise Java, REST & SOAP web services, ORM (JPA/Hibernate), Spring, Maven, JMS (ActiveMQ), Caching, XML, JSON.
• Experience with multiple integration technologies / frameworks.
• Must have good experience in Unix/Oracle/SQL.
• Experience in Agile Development, Scrum, and Iterative approaches.
• Experience and exposure to AWS Cloud Services and DevOps mindset and expertise is a plus Experience with Mule or any ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) is a plus.

Job Description

• Design & implement backend APIs 
• Mentor junior developers technically.
• Actively work to reduce tech debt in the backend
• Work towards more stability & scalability of the backend
• Tech stack - Java, AWS, Aurora etc. 

Eligibility

• 4-8 years of product company experience
• OOP implementation experience. Programming language does not matter. We use Java internally but have hired folks from non Java background.
• Hands on experience in SQL, Dynamo DB, Postgres etc preferred. 
• Prior experience building REST APIs
• Advanced understanding of AWS stack
• Prior knowledge of solving problems at scale.

Primary Skills: Java Backend Development, UNIX, Oracle, SQL, MQFTP

Secondary Skills:  Autosys, Service Now

Experience: 6- 8 years

Responsibilities:

• Drive the Migration Project and support Business Applications teams through the project lifecycle.
• Interpret written business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs
• Contribute to Application development, migration of components, testing and Production Support.
• Collaborate with IT and Business partners to develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions
• Create and maintain technical evaluation documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet standards

Required Skills:

• Well versed with Java Backend Development.
• Proficient in Oracle, SQL.
• Experience in Shell scripting in UNIX, Autosys scheduler
• Good understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS)
• Knowledge of different file movement patterns and tools  - File Transfers, Messaging, MQFTP, Sterling Integrator, Mobius
• Knowledge of different file formats plus file format conversion to & from JSON, csv etc.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
• Good understanding of SDLC lifecycle & processes.
• Exposure to ITIL foundational concepts, Service Now and Production Management Activities.
• Financial Services experience will be a plus
• Experience in using Dev tools ( Eclipse ), code quality tools, defect tracking tools
