About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in building native Android applications using Java and Kotlin, with a deep understanding of Android SDKs and design patterns. You will be working in a collaborative environment on scalable and user-centric mobile apps for various domains.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Android Development using Java and Kotlin.
• In-depth understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and different Android versions.
• Familiarity with MVVM/MVP architecture, Jetpack components, LiveData, and ViewModel.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Retrofit, Glide, Firebase, etc.).
• Knowledge of unit testing, debugging, and optimization for performance.
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX standards and guidelines.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Java and Kotlin..
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Work on continuous improvement of application performance and user experience.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Participating in the entire product lifecycle (analyze, develop, test, release, and support.

• Experience in API development and integration with third-party APIs
• English communication is required. Great communication skills to coordinate across technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with and lead other development team members.
• Ability to work in multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Specialization in IONIC must.

KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERTISE IN THE FOLLOWING ARE AN ADVANTAGE:

• Specialization in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Experience with web service integration (REST, JSON, XML).
• Experience or knowledge with Git, Gitlab, GitHub is a plus.

College: IIT, NIT, BITs other Tier 1 colleges  

   Priority skills:  Kotlin, MVP, MVVM, especially Viper, Unit & UI Test, Firebase, Google maps, design patterns, GIT

Responsibilities ( Experience 8-10 years)

    Design and development of apps for Android in Kotlin and JAVA
    Follow Google user interface guidelines and principles of material design
    Ensure performance and maintainability of the apps
    Code review and guidance to other team members to make sure code quality is as desired.
    Researching new frameworks and adapting the best of them in app development.

Skills Required

    Expert knowledge of Kotlin and JAVA
    Expert knowledge of Architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM and Clean Architecture.
    Expert understanding of Android run time model
    Experience with offline caching, threading and task management.
    Experience with object oriented design patterns.
    Experience with push notifications and Firebase or other similar PaaS systems.
    An Eye for design details, following pixel perfect designs.
    Experience with 3rd party libraries like okhttp, volley , Soket.io, Realm, Firebase, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, RX Kotlin/JAVA.
    Team management skills.

Skills you need to do the job:

• 3-8 years experience with Objective C, Swift
• Experience in working on a large iPhone app, through scaling and performance issues.
• Knowledge of different Architectures like MVVM, MVP, etc - Knowledge of writing Unit Tests.
• Experience in integrating with Restful APIs. • Experience with CI/CD and building pipelines for app releases is a huge plus
• Capable of handling web service integration - RESTful, JSON, SOAP, XML
• Focus and passion for Mobile UI & UX to make apps exciting for the user
• Proactive towards debugging & optimization codebase
• Rapid prototyping skills for getting product feedback
• Understanding of product development lifecycle
• Experience in React Native or any cross-platform mobile development is a bonus

What you need to have:

• 3+ years proven work experience as a Mobile developer.
• Experience using web services (HTTP, REST, SOAP) using JSON, API and API Framework) .
• Good knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and Multi-threading concepts
• Good knowledge of the SQLite database and the Google Play Services like Push Notifications (fcm/sns)
• Strong mobile UI design (multi-screen resolutions), coding, support and maintenance
• Knowledge of HTML5, Bootstrap, JavaScript,
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (like Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
• Proficient iOS and Android mobile app experience are a plus
• In-depth knowledge of at least two Framework/Libraries like React Native / Ionic / Framework7 / Aurelia / PhoneGap / Flutter and angular / react / vue / Mobile Angular UI/ Kendo UI.
• Knowledge of bench marking and optimization
• Mandatory : self sufficient developer and must have prior experience of hybrid development [atleast 3 projects]

• Testing mobile devices to ensure their configuration, operation, and capabilities work efficiently.
• Working with device manufacturers, product managers, and development teams to test and optimize mobile products.
• Developing automated test scripts and frameworks for improved mobile app performance.
• Working with a variety of databases and coding programs, such as Objective-C, Java, HTML, as well as XML and JSON feeds.
• Updating operating systems, specifically iOS, Android, Blackberry, and WindowsPhone 7.
• Producing clear and concise test reports and releasing notes to co-workers when needed.
• Providing feedback to development teams on technical, troubleshooting, or operational issues.
• Assisting with the configuration of test environments.
• Suggesting new processes and policies to improve mobile development techniques.

Mobile Test Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelors in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a similar degree.
• At least 3 years experience in mobile application testing and development.
• Working knowledge of mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android.
• Experience in developing automated test scripts.
• Ability to develop software applications using programming or scripting languages such as Java and HTML.
• Experience in using configuration management or version control tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
