The Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Public Relations is responsible for developing and executing strategic PR campaigns to enhance the company’s public image, strengthen brand awareness, and manage media relations. The role involves overseeing communication strategies, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Public Relations Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the company’s reputation and visibility.
- Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and speeches for corporate events.
- Manage public relations campaigns, including product launches, partnerships, and CSR initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors’ PR activities to stay ahead of the market.
Media Relations & Communications:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, journalists, and influencers.
- Organize press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.
- Act as the company spokesperson when required.
- Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information to the media and the public.
Crisis Communication & Reputation Management:
- Develop crisis communication plans and handle reputation management during emergencies.
- Address misinformation and negative publicity effectively.
- Provide media training to company representatives.
Internal & External Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, HR, and corporate affairs, to align PR efforts.
- Engage with industry bodies, government agencies, and community organizations to foster goodwill.
- Manage PR agencies and third-party communication service providers.
Content Development & Digital PR:
- Oversee the creation of engaging PR content for social media, blogs, and company websites.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital communication channels.
- Leverage digital platforms to enhance media outreach and audience engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or media relations,Proven track record in handling media, crisis management, and stakeholder relations.
- Strong writing, editing, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Experience with PR tools, social media analytics, and media monitoring software.

Requirements
- 2+ years extensive experience of Linux server administration include patching, packaging (rpm), performance tuning, networking, user management, and security.
