You'll design systems built for 10x100x growth, make the key technical trade-off calls, and stay deeply hands-on. Beyond building, you'll mentor engineers and work directly with founders and product teams to translate business goals into scalable, reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the platform architecture to support 10x100x growth
• Own systems end-to-end from the first design decision to production impact
• Lead system design discussions and set the long-term technical direction for the platform
• Identify scale bottlenecks early and drive solutions
• Mentor and elevate engineers through design reviews, code quality, and architectural thinking
• Partner directly with founders and product teams to turn business priorities into scalable systems
• Operate with high ownership in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly
• Drive projects independently own timelines, coordinate with teams, and see delivery
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and champion engineering best practices across the team
• Proactively identify gaps in the system and come up with concrete approaches to address them
• Solve technical problems across the company not just confined to a single pod
• Challenge existing architecture with data and reasoning push back when its the right call, and drive adoption of better approaches.

Requirements

• 7-12 years of experience in backend or platform engineering
• Strong computer science fundamentals (preferably from IIT, BITS, NITs)
• Strong proficiency in backend development (Node.js, Java, Go, or equivalent)
• Proven experience scaling systems through high-growth startup phases (1→10 or beyond)
• Track record of building and owning critical platforms or systems from scratch
• Exposure to high-volume transactional systems; fintech or lending is a strong plus
• Bias for action - moves fast, makes sound decisions, owns outcomes end-to-end
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities in a startup environment
• Strong problem-solving skills ability to break down complex technical challenges and arrive at pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions
• Hands-on experience with platform engineering developer tooling, shared services, infrastructure abstractions, or internal platforms

Basic (Must Have):

· Minimum of 4+ years Angular/Frontend Development

· Minimum of 4+ years Node Development

· Proficiency in Angular and the latest versions

· Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5 / CSS 2 / SASS

· Hands-on experience with OOJS, ES6 Programming, TypeScript & JavaScript

· Deep knowledge of Angular best practices and commonly used modules

· Experience with Security, HTTP/HTTPS, Authentication and Authorization

· Experience with Server-Side Rendering and Unit Testing Frameworks

· Familiarity with Code Quality tools and processes (ESLint, flowerrors, sonar, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

· NPM Ecosystem: Boiler plate configurations & NPM Packaging/scripts

· Usage of tools like Webstorm / Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, GGI, version management, and build tools

· Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards (W3C Guidelines)

· Experience with building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets

· Ability to provide SEO solutions for single page apps

Key Responsibilities:

· Implement a complete user interface in the form of a mobile and desktop web app, with a focus on performance

· Create modules and components and couple them together into a functional app

· Create custom, general use modules and templates which extend the elements and modules of core Angular

· Write tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

· Coordinate the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself

· Cooperate with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API and communicate with external web services

· Architect and automate the build process for production, using task runners or scripts

· Write extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks and create e2e test suites for all components (running them with Protractor or alternative)

· Create configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments

· Validate user actions on the client side, providing responsive feedback, and writing non-blocking code (resorting to multi-threading when needed)

Creating visual concepts and designs:

This involves developing layouts, designs, and illustrations for various materials like websites, brochures, advertising campaigns, and social media graphics. 

Using design software and tools:

Graphic designers need proficiency in software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as other relevant tools. 

Collaborating with teams:

Working with marketing teams, copywriters, and other stakeholders to ensure designs align with business goals and brand guidelines. 

Adapting designs for various mediums:

Adjusting designs for print, digital, and other platforms, ensuring consistency and visual appeal. 

Staying updated on design trends:

Keeping abreast of the latest design trends, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance their skills. 

Reviewing and refining designs:

Incorporating feedback, making revisions, and ensuring that final designs meet quality standards.

Balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
