PHP AI Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP AI Developer with experience in building intelligent web applications, AI-powered automation solutions, and scalable enterprise systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP (Laravel), MySQL, JavaScript, REST APIs, AI integrations (OpenAI/Gemini/LLMs), and workflow automation, along with hands-on experience in developing AI-driven products and business applications. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP/Laravel applications integrated with AI capabilities.
• Build AI-powered modules such as chatbots, document processing systems, recommendation engines, and workflow automation tools.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or similar AI services into web applications.
• Develop and optimize REST APIs and third-party integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in PHP (Laravel, Core PHP).
• Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with AI APIs and LLM integrations (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, etc.).
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Vector Databases, and AI Workflows.
• Experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Minimum 2+ years of software development experience, including AI-powered application development.

You’ll work with the team that develops the models powering Episource’s product focused on NLP driven medical coding. Some of the problems include improving our ICD code recommendations , clinical named entity recognition and information extraction from clinical notes.

This is a role for highly technical engineers who combine outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to code up prototypes and productionalize using a large range of tools, frameworks, and languages. You will be responsible for setting an agenda to develop and build machine learning platforms that positively impact the business, working with partners across the company including operations and engineering. You will be working closely with the machine learning team to design and implement back end components and services. Required Skills:

• Strong background in analytics, BI or data science deployments is preferable with 2-6 years of experience
