About Videoselz

The Role
We are looking for a scrappy, high-agency Full-Stack Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our core team. This isn't a role where you’ll be a small cog in a giant machine. You will report directly to the CEO, working alongside leaders who have scaled products for billions of users. You will be expected to wear multiple hats, moving seamlessly between architecting backend services and crafting fluid frontend experiences.
Technical Requirements
- Experience: 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
- The Stack: Deep proficiency in JavaScript, React, and Svelte.
- Full-Stack Mindset: Strong foundational knowledge of backend architecture and the ability to own a feature from database schema to UI deployment.
- Versatility: You are comfortable jumping into unfamiliar territory, whether it's optimizing video rendering pipelines or refining a checkout flow.

RealityShop is a cutting-edge video commerce platform designed to revolutionize the e-commerce experience by integrating shoppable videos into Shopify stores. Our platform helps merchants engage customers through interactive videos that increase conversions and drive sales.
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer who is passionate about building scalable, user-friendly applications. You'll play a key role in developing and enhancing RealityShop's platform, working with Gadget and Shopify to bring innovative video commerce features to life.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the product and take full ownership of creating and maintaining the product.
- Develop and maintain Gadget-powered applications for RealityShop’s backend and infrastructure.
- Build, test, and deploy Shopify integrations, ensuring seamless functionality between our platform and merchants' stores.
- Collaborate with the product team to design and implement features like UGC content collection, video hosting, file uploads, and custom CTAs.
- Implement responsive, intuitive front-end designs using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Optimize for performance, ensuring that the video commerce experience is fast and smooth across devices.
- Work on both the front-end and back-end, contributing to overall architecture decisions.
- Integrate RESTful APIs for communication between front-end components and backend services.
- Write clear, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a full stack development role
- Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
- Experience with Shopify API development and Shopify app integration.
- Strong understanding of Javascript development practices
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with database design and management.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, remote team.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience with Shopify or Gadget is not required but preferred.
- Prior experience with Generative AI such as Open AI, Faceswapping, LipSyncing.
- Experience with video hosting and compression technologies.
- Familiarity with video analytics or any other video-based technologies.
- Knowledge of Shopify App Store submission and review processes.
