• Early-stage AI SaaS product with the potential to disrupt the Product Analytics space
• Relentlessly improving performance, scalability, and maintainability on top of being responsible for entire products
• Owning the design process, implementation, and verification of framework components leveraging standard software engineering methodologies
• Translating functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.

🤝 What makes you a good fit?

• 0-2 years of experience in product development, architecture, data structures, algorithms and design.
• Experience with API integrations, database design, and backend frameworks on NodeJS and/or Python
• Experienced with an agile team environment and you prefer being a self-starter.

Working as a “Backend Developer” at Bonzai gives you the opportunity to work on maintaining and improving the platform.

• Work on the entire product lifecycle starting from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Explore new technologies such as Kotlin, patterns such as Domain-Driven Design and other cool stuff such as Gitlab CI/CD pipelines, Docker, ECS, Golang, Python, Terraform, distributed tracing and even Haskell.
• Ensure top-notch performance in terms of product and feature experience.

• 2 - 3 yrs of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest API, and MySQL.
• Good to have experience/knowledge of other programming languages such as Kotlin or Python, other DBs such as Redshift, platforms such as AWS and architectural patterns such as https://martinfowler.com/bliki/DomainDrivenDesign.html">Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexagonal_architecture_(software)">Hexagonal architecture.
• Good understanding of Object-oriented concepts, Functional programming and Design Patterns.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to articulate complex ideas in written, spoken and visual language
• Bachelor in engineering preferably from a leading institute across the globe.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, architect and develop advanced software solutions in a cross functional Agile team supporting multiple projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with product owners and/or the business on requirements definition, development of functional specifications, and design
• Collaborate on or lead development of technical design and specifications as required
• Code, test and document new applications as well as changes to existing system functionality and ensure successful completion
• Take on leadership roles as needed

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of software development experience using GoLang/Java programming language
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP/Pivotal Cloud Foundry/any private cloud) and containerization is required
• Experience with a micro-services architecture is a plus
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other Relational Databases
• Test-driven development mindset and a focus on quality, scalability and performance
• Strong programming fundamentals and ability to produce high quality code
• Solid understanding of Agile (SCRUM) Development Process required
