Frontend Developer

Core Responsibilities

Front-end Development:

o Develop web applications using React, flask. o Implement responsive design to ensure user-friendly interfaces.

o Utilize mapping libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox) to display geospatial data.

Back-end Integration:

o Work with APIs and manage data flow for project analytics and management.

o Enhance features for robust data handling and real-time project analysis.

Cloud Deployment:

o Deploy and manage web applications on AWS and similar platforms. o Optimize for performance, scalability, and storage efficiency.

GIS and Mapping Tools:

o Develop tools using GIS data like KML and Shapefiles. 

Frontend Developer

Responsibilities:

·         Develop our new products

·         Define and design common reusable components

·         Enhance and maintain our existing products

·         Interact with other teams, as well as with our users

·         Act on user feedback

Qualifications:

·         Experience as a front-end or full-stack software engineer in AWS environment

·         Knowledge of modern JavaScript and its fundamentals, as well as JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJs, Redux, Bootstrap, Jest, Material-UI

·         Strong understanding of web technologies like HTML5 and CSS3

·         Experience with a server-side language would be an advantage. We use mostly Python/Java, but any server-side language would be an advantage.

·         Knowledge of AWS API gateway, microservice architecture, serverless architecture, RESTful services

·         Proven ability to learn new technologies

·         Always using good software engineering practices such as code review, source control, continuous integration, and unit testing

·         Ability to work in a team with other developers, with UX Designers, and with Product Management

·         Ability to interact with our users and customers, with clear communication

·         Problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, strong hands on experience, delivery track record of medium/large complexity of projects, TDD/BDD, awareness of CI/CD pipeline

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

As a member of the founding engineering team at Kombai, you'd work directly with the CTO and CEO to build a global product for the frontend dev teams from scratch. Together, we'd have a crack at several hard, high-impact problems - often involving challenges across product, engineering, and research areas.

In addition to the above, the candidates for Senior Product Engineer should also have:

• Thorough understanding of good Frontend engineering & architecture practices. In our experience, this usually comes from working in an excellent frontend team with an excellent architect, on a complex applications
• Experience: 3-6 years

Clarista.io turns current enterprise data silos into a ‘Live Data Network’, easy to use, always available, with flexibility to create any analytics. Clarista is designed for both business and technical users, hence the user interface plays a pivotal role in ensuring performance with large datasets and a superior user experience.

What You'll Do


You will be part of Clarista’s UI engineering team. You will work in our cloud native environment and perform following activities to support core product development and client specific projects:

• You will build & support responsive web user interfaces by using ReactJS
• You will ensure usability of the interfaces and workflows for end users
• You will integrate user interfaces with data and other interfaces through APIs
• You will collaborate with cloud and data engineering teams to enable end-to-end functionality
• You will partner with other team members in understanding the functional / non-functional business requirements, and translate them into software development tasks
• You will follow the software development best practices in ensuring that the code architecture and quality of code written by you is of high standard, as expected from an enterprise software
• You will be a proactive contributor to team and project discussions

 Who you are


• Strong education track record 
• Bachelors or an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent premium institute.
• 2-3 years of experience in UI Development using ReactJS
• An ideal candidate will be responsible to produce high-quality solutions; bringing a deep understanding of modern HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and the software development life cycle and a strong ability to execute and implement standard software architecture patterns.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript to design optimized and modular components that will be used across platforms.
• Proficient with ReactJS, Redux, Service Workers, Optimized coding practices, Progressive Web Apps (PWA), Context API, System design, Web concepts, Server-Side Rendering (SSR), lazy loading.
• Should have experience working with any of the chart’s library like charts.js, Highcharts.js, etc.
• Should know how to write modular and optimized code.
• Should have good knowledge around error handling.
• Fair understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Experience versioning control systems such as GIT
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter, continuous learner.

Good to have some exposure to

• Start-up experience is highly preferred
• Exposure to micro front ends.
• Agile software development methodologies.
• Working in multi-functional, multi-location teams
