▌ ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Finance & Accounts Manager who is not just a numbers person, but a strategic finance partner who can drive analytical rigour, compliance, and financial excellence across BXI. You will own FP&A, MIS, P&L, and ensure our financial operations are audit-ready and growth-aligned — with specific exposure to fintech product workflows.

▌ WHAT YOU'LL DO

•    Lead FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) — budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

•    Prepare and present MIS reports — timely, accurate, and decision-ready

•    Own P&L management — monitor performance, flag risks, and drive cost efficiencies

•    Manage financial accounting including ledgers, reconciliations, and month-end close

•    Support brand KYC and onboarding processes as relevant to fintech compliance

•    Lead audit readiness and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements

•    Liaise with online product teams for finance integration in fintech workflows

•    Drive analytical insights from financial data to support leadership decision-making

•    Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as required

▌ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•    3+ years of experience in finance and accounts, preferably in fintech or tech-driven companies

•    Strong expertise in FP&A — financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting

•    Hands-on experience in MIS preparation and P&L management

•    Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices

•    Prior exposure to online product environments in fintech is highly preferred

•    Working knowledge of brand KYC, onboarding compliance, and audit processes

•    High analytical acumen — ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly

•    Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (advanced level)

•    Inter CA / MBA Finance / CMA preferred

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat

Work Mode: Onsite

Shift Timing: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST, with flexibility to work 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM or 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM based on business requirements

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, manage a team of finance professionals, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, accounting expertise, and the ability to collaborate with global teams in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day accounting operations
• Oversee Accounts Payable, General Ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and inter-company accounting
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial close processes
• Prepare financial reports, management reports, and variance analysis
• Support audits and statutory compliance requirements
• Manage banking activities and balance sheet reconciliations
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
• Mentor, train, and develop accounting team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international stakeholders
• Track key financial metrics and support business decision-making

Requirements

• CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification
• 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting
• Prior team management or supervisory experience
• Experience in BPO, KPO, ITES, or shared services environments is preferred
• Knowledge of ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar platforms
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Overview

Function Ownership

• Own the accounts and finance function end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all accounting activities

. • Lead and manage a team of accounts executives — assign work, review output, and ensure quality across the team.

• Own the monthly/quarterly/annual closing calendar and drive the team to meet deadlines.

Financial Reporting & Planning

• Prepare and present financial reports (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) to founders/leadership.

• Own budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Support cash flow and working capital planning as SwitchKart scales

Taxation, Compliance & Audit

• Own GST, TDS, and statutory filing compliance end-to-end.

• Lead coordination with statutory and internal auditors; own audit closure.

• Ensure full regulatory and accounting standards compliance across the function.

Accounts Payable & Receivable — Oversight

• Approve vendor payments and oversee AP/AR processes managed by the team

.• Oversee receivables aging and escalate high-risk outstanding balances.

Inventory & Recommerce-Specific Accounting

• Own inventory valuation and COGS reconciliation across procurement, refurbishment, and channel partner stores

.• Ensure accurate reconciliation of marketplace and payment gateway settlements.

Team Management & Mentorship

• Mentor and upskill junior accounting staff.

• Set and monitor performance expectations for the accounts team.

• Build and document SOPs for accounting processes across the team.

Stakeholder & Investor Reporting

• Support founders with financial data and reporting needed for investor updates.

• Liaise with banks and financial institutions as needed

Process Improvement

• Drive automation and digitalization of accounting processes.

• Continuously improve accounting SOPs and controls as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CMA/CPA inter or equivalent is a plus)

• 4–6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including team management experience.

• Strong background in general ledger, AP/AR, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.

• In-depth knowledge of ZOHO Books; working knowledge of Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks.

• Strong MS Excel skills, including financial modeling basics

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience managing or mentoring a team.

• Experience in a startup or fast-scaling business environment

.• Exposure to investor reporting or fundraising support.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting automation tools
