Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering (Diploma or Degree) combined with a passion for sales. You will be responsible for visiting construction sites, meeting with contractors and builders, generating new business, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: actively scout for new construction projects and potential clients (Builders, Contractors, Architects, and Civil Engineers) in the assigned territory.
- Field Visits & Cold Calling: Conduct daily field visits and cold calls to establish contact with decision-makers at construction sites.
- Technical Sales: Explain the technical specifications and benefits of our products/services to potential clients using your civil engineering knowledge.
- Proposal Management: Prepare and share accurate commercial quotations and technical proposals with clients.
- Closing Deals: Follow up on submitted quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and successfully close sales to achieve monthly revenue targets.
- Relationship Building: Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- Reporting: Maintain daily reports of site visits, calls made, and effective sales pipeline status.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Strictly Required).
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in Field Sales, Business Development, or Marketing within the Construction/Building Materials industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and site terminology.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel extensively within the city/region for site visits.
- Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and convincing skills.
- Proficiency in local language (depending on location) and English.
- Basic computer skills (Excel/Email) for quotation sharing.
