Sr. Offensive Security Engineer:

Security engineers at Egnyte are involved in every stage of the SDLC pipeline to highlight security vulnerabilities and provide expert advice on reducing them. By promoting security principles, ongoing penetration testing, and developing “paved roads,” we’re able to provide our customers with a secure and reliable product.

We’re looking for a senior engineer who’s well-rounded in terms of application security and has in-depth expertise in offensive security/red teaming focused on product security. 

You will be working closely with other security engineers will enable you to develop your expertise in a wide range of areas of your choosing.

To excel at this role, you need to be passionate about and proficient in hacking. We’re looking for someone who loves breaking into systems and is happy to help secure them by collaborating with software engineers by sharing expertise and providing actionable advice on remediation of identified issues.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Perform high-quality penetration tests of Egnyte applications independently, or as part of a team
• Designing comprehensive plans for the security engagements and thoroughly documenting findings, gaps, and remediation recommendations
• Contributing to team tooling, innovation, and improvements
• Communicating and collaborating with other teams, product owners, engineering managers, and leadership to influence, prioritize, and drive the resolution of discovered security findings

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in a penetration testing or similar offensive security role
• 5+ years of professional experience with security engineering practices, including: web application security, mobile application security, authentication and authorization and other security disciplines
• 3+ years of experience with dynamic and manual code auditing to identify security issues
• 3+ years of experience with interpreted or compiled languages (e.g. Python, Java)
• Experience with threat modeling, design review, or other threat analysis techniques

Bonus points:

• Experience with mobile application penetration testing
• Knowledge of cloud service providers, especially Google Cloud
• Experience in various security domains (e.g. system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, application security, incident response)
• Experience in developing security tooling and automation
• Experience in CTFs, CVE research, and/or Bug Bounty programs

• Excellent communication skills required

• We are looking for a Video Editor who is creative and enthusiastic about creating high-quality, engaging content.

• Use creative video editing techniques to produce innovative content for Daily social media posting, Advertising/Marketing, Awareness campaigns etc.

• Experience in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & Audacity is a must.

• Post-production and editing of all photography and videography.
• Develop graphical animations, GIFs, videos, Typography, and integrate voice-overs.

• Ability to think up creative ideas to promote a brand's products in innovative ways.

Key Responsibilities:

· You’ll be actively involved with development of server backend that support mobile apps.

· You’ll be architecting and implementing best-in-class complex ‘real time’ web software and/or messaging systems to power highly scalable apps for users.

· Translate high level business problems into scalable design and code. Create libraries & Utilities for larger consumption.

· Work closely with UI/UX designers to create exciting user experiences and ensure delivery of graphic assets as per modern web standards.

· You’ll be continuously keeping an eye on the latest cutting-edge technologies and leveraging these in one’s own and the team’s work as necessary.

· Care about the business results of what you build, not just the elegance of the technology you build.

· Work on the end to end stack (Platforms, UI, distributed systems, databases) rather than specialize in one area.

· And of course, get hands dirty by writing server-side code for mobile-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.

Eligibility

Desired Candidates Profile:

• 5+ years of experience on Node.js based web applications and systems development.
• Strong knowledge of MEAN, Linux/UNIX based development & client-side JavaScript/jQuery.
• Knowledgeable on ORMs, their utility and limitations.
• Knowledge of web services and serialization techniques like REST, SOAP, XML & JSON.
• Knowledgeable about caching mechanisms & tools like memcache, CDNs, nginx.
• Scripting experience in using Shell/Python for creating quick technology solutions to problems.
• Prior expertise of working with AWS Cloud, CDNs and other PAAS based services.
• A strong penchant for Object-Oriented Design.
• Experience of working with version control, bug tracking, continuous integration and other productivity enhancement software like SVN, Bugzilla, Jira etc.
• Prior experience in implementing Agile software methodologies.
• Passionate about software development & modern-day web technologies like:
• Server-Side JavaScript – Node.js, Backbone.js
• Web Sockets
• NoSQL based databases like MongoDB/Couchbase/Redis
• Big Data
• Taking responsibility and ownership in the team’s work.

Additional Requirements:

• B-Tech/BS/BE/BS/MS/M.Tech/MS in Electronics or Computer Science from a premier institute in India (IITs, BITS, NITs etc) or abroad.
