Job Title: Senior iOS Developer

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in iOS development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, UIKit, Xcode, and iOS SDKs.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the iOS platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

• Experience: 1+ yrs - 3yrs
• Key Skills:
• Expert Proficiency in anyone the below programming language - Java, Node JS, PHP or GoLang
• Expert Computer Science fundamentals like Data Structures, Algorithms, Time Complexity, and others
• Strong Microservices, REST API, Git source control, CI/CD, and other latest technology trends
• Strong System Design, DB Design proficiency
• Strong knowledge in Design Patterns, best software development practices
• Good exposure to working in Open Source stack, E-Commerce, or Fintech domain.

• Liaise with fellow developers.
• Designing and implementing microservices which use the spring boot framework.
• Working in compliance with the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Connecting microservices to interact with databases.
• Understanding of how streaming technologies work such as Kafka.
• Identifying and finding solutions to bugs.
• Ensure you've written adequate test cases to verify design requirements are being met.
• Create well written documentation for the individual microservices.

As a Software Engineer, you will help drive Unibuddy’s growth by helping build and enhance our products that are aimed at aiding prospective universities and students, turning them into happy and successful users of Unibuddy. We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic engineer to join our engineering team in Bangalore and help accelerate our next phase of growth.

• Quality and consistency: Consistently deliver high quality code. Maintain code quality across the team by reviewing code written by other members of the team
• Constant Learning: Acquire expertise of the codebase to answer questions for newer devs on how to design features around our codebase
• Knowledge sharing: Have extended knowledge of design patterns to help newer devs on finding the appropriate coding solution to a technical problem
• Mentorship: Organising knowledge sharing session when finds out a domain is uncovered by other members of the team
• Setting standards: Proposes set of coding standards for the team
• Going beyond: explores new technologies and new techniques the team could use
• External point of contact: should be able to answer questions about the stack from other non-technical teams

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other related field. The equivalent of this in working experience is also acceptable for the position

• 2+ years of overall professional web development experience
• Communicate effectively in fluent English

• Writing original copy and editing content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials
• Revising copy based on feedback/ direction
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of communication and industry trends
• Staying updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications or related discipline
• Minimum 2-5 years professional copywriting experience with solid portfolio of work
• Exceptional writing and research skill
• Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
• Social media or content marketing experience a plus
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus
• Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc.
• A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
