Engineering Lead

Role Objective

As a Team Lead – AI/LLM Engineering, you will lead the development of scalable AI-powered applications and backend systems while managing a team of engineers. The role requires a strong balance of technical leadership and hands-on contribution in building production-grade solutions using Python, Django, RAG architectures, Vector Databases, and modern LLM frameworks. You will drive project execution, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality delivery of AI solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 6–10 engineers for AI/LLM-based projects.
• Drive end-to-end project delivery with focus on quality, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python and Django.
• Build and optimize AI workflows involving RAG systems, Vector Databases, embeddings, and LLM orchestration.
• Work with technologies such as LangGraph and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Participate in architecture discussions, system design, and technical decision-making.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.
• Identify and remove technical blockers to improve team productivity.
• Contribute hands-on to development, debugging, and deployment activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience as a developer.
• Minimum 7–8 months of experience with building AI systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python and Django development.
• Experience with Vector Databases and embedding-based retrieval systems.
• Good understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of System Design and scalable application architecture.
• Experience working with AI/LLM integrations and RAG systems.
• Prior team leadership or mentoring experience.
• Good communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Technologies – Extensive experience in PHP Laravel, AJAX, Bootstrap, React/Angular JS, Javascript, HTML, HTML 5, CSS, MySQL 

• Clear fundamentals, well versed with OOP.
• Demonstrable experience developing clean, scalable code.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Github.
• Experience optimizing existing code and queries for performance and scalability.
• Experience developing and consuming restful web services.
• Agile methodologies

Nice to have - LiteSpeed Server Experience, Azure Cloud

Willing to learn – MEAN and MERN stacks, Cloud Technologies, AI-ML 

Industry Experience – 2+ years (if you think that with your lesser experience, you can beat others, you are open to applying)

Location – Vadodara, Gujarat (most of the time it will be Work from Home)

1. Building REST APIs using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
2. Working on Flutter application development using various advanced strategies like state management, API integrations, and scalable databases
3. Working with Socket.io library for Flutter and Node.js product development
4. Learning and developing the cryptographic functions for product security
5. Managing product workloads on public/private cloud - we are currently on AWS & also planning to be on GCP/Azure (our platform would also be available as on-premise deployment, you will handle these deployments)
6. Develop API based architecture in order to ensure the business growth and integration-al capabilities of the product
7. Work on using GIT and CI-CD for product version control and continuous delivery

• 8 - 11 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years on GUI development
• Experience on Java, HTML, CSS and Java script
• Experience with write SQL or equivalent queries on relational or NoSQL databases e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, MongoDB, Cassandra
