Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to build and manage infrastructure for a FinTech product company operating with stateful microservices. The deployment environments include hybrid cloud and on-premise setups. The ideal candidate must have strong production experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage infrastructure for stateful microservices (databases, queues, caching layers).
• Work on Kubernetes environments—both managed (EKS/AKS/GKE) and self-managed clusters.
• Build, enhance, and maintain custom Helm Charts for complex deployments.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, FluxCD, or similar GitOps tools.
• Architect and optimize multi-tenant deployment models.
• Implement and manage high availability, load balancing, certificate management (SSL/TLS).
• Design deployment architectures based on business requirements.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure including VPC, IAM, cloud networking, and security.
• Work with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi), including writing reusable modules.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance across production environments.
• Ensure security best practices in networking, access control, and secrets management.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of DevOps experience in product-based companies (not services/consulting).
• Strong hands-on experience with stateful microservices in production.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes (managed + self-managed).
• Strong ability to write custom Helm Charts.
• Experience with multi-tenant production environments.
• Expertise in AWS or Azure (cloud networking, IAM, VPC, security groups, etc.).
• Experience setting up GitOps-based CI/CD (ArgoCD/FluxCD).
• Strong understanding of HA, load balancing, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates.
• Ability to justify architectural decisions and propose deployment designs.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools and writing custom Terraform/Pulumi modules.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to hybrid cloud deployments
• Knowledge of on-premise orchestration & networking
• Experience with service mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK)

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in managing production infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. The ideal candidate will have exposure to CI/CD tools and queueing systems, along with a strong ability to automate and optimize workflows.

Responsibilities: 

* Manage and optimize production infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.

* Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes.

* Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.

* Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Chef to streamline deployment processes.

* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.

* Nice-to-have: Manage queueing systems like Amazon SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.

Requirements: 

* 4+ years of experience with AWS, including practical exposure to its services in production environments.

* Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration.

* Proficiency in using Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.

* Exposure to at least one CI/CD tool, such as Jenkins or Chef.

* Nice-to-have: Experience managing queueing systems like SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 5 - 8 years of experience in Infrastructure setup on Cloud, Build/Release Engineering, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Configuration/Change Management.
• Good experience with Linux/Unix administration and moderate to significant experience administering relational databases such as PostgreSQL, etc.
• Experience with Docker and related tools (Cassandra, Rancher, Kubernetes etc.)
• Experience of working in Config management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud technologies like Azure
• Experience with monitoring and alerting (TICK, ELK, Nagios, PagerDuty)
• Experience with distributed systems and related technologies (NSQ, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with scaling data store technologies is a plus (PostgreSQL, Scylla, Redis) is a plus
• Experience with SSH Certificate Authorities and Identity Management (Netflix BLESS) is a plus
• Experience with multi-domain SSL certs and provisioning a plus (Let's Encrypt) is a plus
• Experience with chaos or similar methodologies is a plus

• You have experience of 2-4 years in building high-performance consumer-facing mobile applications at Product companies of a decent scale.
• You can write code preferably in Golang and Python.
• You have experience with debugging production issues and writing RCAs.
• You have demonstrable stories of being on-call and how outages have been handled.
• You have experience developing products on Kubernetes and cloud providers like GCP and AWS.
• You have worked with Cloud Native (CNCF) technologies.
• You have experience automating CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in implementing DevOps practices and DevOps-tools in areas like CI/CD using Jenkins environment automation, and release automation, virtualization, infra as a code or metrics tracking.
• Hands on experience in DevOps tools configuration in different environments.
• Strong knowledge of working with DevOps design patterns, processes and best practices
• Hand-on experience in Setting up Build pipelines.
• Prior working experience in system administration or architecture in Windows or Linux.
• Must have experience in GIT (BitBucket, GitHub, GitLab)
• Hands-on experience on Jenkins pipeline scripting.
• Hands-on knowledge in one scripting language (Nant, Perl, Python, Shell or PowerShell)
• Configuration level skills in tools like SonarQube (or similar tools) and Artifactory.
• Expertise on Virtual Infrastructure (VMWare or VirtualBox or QEMU or KVM or Vagrant) and environment automation/provisioning using SaltStack/Ansible/Puppet/Chef
• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing Azure cloud based production systems including monitoring capacity.
• Good to have experience in migrating code repositories from one source control to another.
• Hands-on experience in Docker container and orchestration based deployments like Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Docker swarm.
• Must have good communication skills and problem solving skills
