Software Engineer III - Product Deployment

NOTE- This is a contractual role for a period of 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

● Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines across services and environments

● Monitor system health and set up alerts/logs for performance & errors ● Work closely with backend/frontend teams to improve deployment velocity

● Manage cloud environments (staging, production) with cost and reliability in mind

● Ensure secure access, role policies, and audit logging

● Contribute to internal tooling, CLI automation, and dev workflow improvements

Must-Haves:

● 2–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering

● Experience with Docker, CI/CD (especially GitHub Actions), and cloud providers (AWS/GCP)

● Proficiency in writing scripts (Bash, Python) for automation

● Good understanding of system monitoring, logs, and alerting

● Strong debugging skills, ownership mindset, and clear documentation habits

● Infra monitoring tools like Grafana dashboards

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

• Experience in designing and maintaining high volume and scalable micro-services architecture on cloud infrastructure

• Knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration and Python/Shell Scripting

• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Auto-scaling, VPC, Lambda), GCP, Azure

• Knowledge in deployment automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, GitLab) and monitoring tools like Zabbix, Cloud Watch Monitoring, Nagios Knowledge of Java Virtual Machines, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Kafka, Microservices architecture, Caching mechanisms

• Experience in enterprise application development, maintenance and operations

• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, judgment and decision-making skills

As a SaaS DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing automated tooling and process enhancements for SaaS deployment, application and infrastructure upgrades and production monitoring.

• Development of automation scripts and pipelines for deployment and monitoring of new production environments.

• Development of automation scripts for upgrades, hotfixes deployments and maintenance.

• Work closely with Scrum teams and product groups to support the quality and growth of the SaaS services.

• Collaborate closely with SaaS Operations team to handle day-to-day production activities - handling alerts and incidents.

• Assist SaaS Operations team to handle customers focus projects: migrations, features enablement.

• Write Knowledge articles to document known issues and best practices.

• Conduct regression tests to validate solutions or workarounds.

• Work in a globally distributed team.

What achievements should you have so far?

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

• Experience with containerization, deployment, and operations.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes (Git, Jenkins, Pipelines).

• Good experience with Linux systems and Shell scripting.

• Basic cloud experience, preferably oriented on MS Azure.

• Basic knowledge of containerized solutions (Helm, Kubernetes, Docker).

• Good Networking skills and experience.

• Having Terraform or CloudFormation knowledge will be considered a plus.

Job Description

• Minimum 3+ yrs of Experience in DevOps with AWS Platform

• Strong AWS knowledge and experience

• Experience in using CI/CD automation tools (Git, Jenkins, Configuration deployment tools ( Puppet/Chef/Ansible)

• Experience with IAC tools Terraform

• Excellent experience in operating a container orchestration cluster (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Significant experience with Linux operating system environments

• Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as Python/Shell scripting

• Must have experience in designing Infrastructure automation framework.

• Good experience in any of the Setting up Monitoring tools and Dashboards ( Grafana/kafka)

• Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems

As a special aside, an AWS engineer who works in DevOps should also have experience with:

3. Certified Amazon Architect Associate or Architect
4. Experience serving as lead (shift management, reporting) will be a plus
5. AWS Architect Certified Solution Architect Professional (Must have)
6. Minimum 4yrs experience, maximum 8 years’ experience.

Core Responsibilities:

• Handling all Devops activities
• Engage with development teams to document and implement best practices for our existing and new products
• Ensure reliability of services by making systems and applications stable
• Implement DevOps technologies and processes i.e. containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, metrics, monitoring, etc.
• Good understanding of Terraform (or similar ‘Infrastructure as Code’ technologies)
