About the role : We're looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to optimize our software delivery and infrastructure. You'll build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our microservices, automate infrastructure, and ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. • Cloud Platform Management: Administer and optimize AWS resources, ensuring efficient billing and cost management.
• Billing & Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud spending.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage applications and orchestrate them.
• Database Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize database instances and their lifecycles.
• Authentication Solutions: Implement and manage authentication systems.

• Monitoring & Alerting: Set up and maintain robust systems using tools for application and infrastructure health and integrate with billing dashboards.

• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development teams, providing DevOps expertise and support for their various application stacks. 

What You'll Bring 💼

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
• Strong proficiency in AWS Cloud, including services like Lambda, IoT Core, ElastiCache, CloudFront, and S3.
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line tools.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, GitLab CI.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, specifically AWS EKS.
• Proven experience deploying and managing microservices.
• Expertise in database deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis).
• Experience with Identity and Access management solutions like Keycloak.
• Experience implementing backup and recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with optimizing scaling, ideally with Karpenter.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, Elastic Stack.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Basic understanding of MQTT or general IoT concepts and protocols.
• Direct experience optimizing React.js (Next.js), Node.js (Express.js, Nest.js) or Python (Flask) deployments in a containerized environment.
• Knowledge of specific AWS services relevant to application stacks.
• Contributions to open-source projects related to Kubernetes, MongoDB, or any of the mentioned frameworks.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead to guide a local IT Services Management Team and also acting as a software developer. In this role, you will be responsible for the application management of a B2C application to meet the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and fulfil customer expectations.

Position Overview & Priorities:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and software using Infrastructure as Code. This can include the provision of cloud instances, streamlining deployments, configuring virtual instances, scaling out DB servers.

Primary responsibility would be:

• Oversight of all server environments, from Dev through Production.
• Work on an infrastructure that is 100% on AWS.
• Work on CI/CD tooling which is used to build and deploy code to our cloud.
• Assist with day-to-day issue management.
• Work on internal tooling which simplifies workflows.
• Research, design and implement solutions for fault tolerance, monitoring, performance enhancement, capacity optimization, and configuration management of systems and applications.

Prioritized Experiences and Capabilities:

• 2-4 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer/currently practicing DevOps methodology
• Experience in AWS Infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Cloud Formation / Terraform, Puppet / Chef / Ansible)

• Experience in Data Visualization and Monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana
• Experienced in Build and CI/CD/CT technologies like GitHub, Chef, Artifactory, Hudson/Jenkins
• Experience with log collection, filter creation, and analysis, builds, and performance monitoring/tuning of infrastructure.
• Automate the provisioning of environments pulling strings with Puppet, cooking up some recipes with Chef, or through Ansible, and the deployment of those environments using containers, like Docker or Rocket: (have at least some configuration management tool through some version control).

Qualifications:

• B.E/ B.Tech/ M.C.A in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 60% in Graduation and Post-Graduation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities :

Look through the various DevOps Tools/Technologies and identify the strengths and provide direction to the DevOps automation team

Out-of-box thought process on the DevOps Automation Platform implementation

Expose various tools and technologies and do POC on integration of the these tools

Evaluate Backend API's for various DevOps tools

Perform code reviews keep in context of RASUI

Mentor the team on the various E2E integrations

Be Liaison in evangelizing the automation solution currently implemented

Bring in various DevOps best Practices/Principles and participate in adoption with various app teams

Must have:

Should possess Bachelors/Masters in computer science with minimum of 8+ years of experience

Should possess minimum 3 years of strong experience in DevOps

Should possess expertise in using various DevOps tools libraries and API's (Jenkins/JIRA/AWX/Nexus/GitHub/BitBucket/SonarQube)

2+ Experience in creating solutions and translate to the development team
