Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer specializing in GCP Cloud Infrastructure Management and Kafka Administration. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and Kafka, with a mandatory Kafka certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
· Manage and update Kubernetes (K8s) on GKE.
· Monitor and optimize K8s resources, including pods, storage, memory, and costs.
· Oversee the general monitoring and maintenance of environments using:
o OpenSearch / Kibana
o KafkaUI
o BGP
o Grafana / Prometheus
Kafka Administration:
· Manage Kafka brokers and ACLs.
· Hands-on experience in Kafka administration (preferably Confluent Kafka).
· Independently debug, optimize, and implement Kafka solutions based on developer and business needs.
Other Responsibilities:
· Perform random investigations to troubleshoot and enhance infrastructure.
· Manage PostgreSQL databases efficiently.
· Administer Jenkins pipelines, supporting CI/CD implementation and maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Kafka Certified Engineer (Mandatory).
· 5+ years of experience in GCP DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Kafka Administration.
· Strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8s), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and cloud environments.
· Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and Kibana.
· Experience managing PostgreSQL databases.
· Proficiency in Jenkins pipeline administration.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with developers and business stakeholders.

How you will help us achieve it
As an Applied AI Engineer, you will collaborate with the company founders, product team, and office managers to develop agentic workflows for many of their daily processes. You will ideate, design, implement, and maintain the software side of the product. You will design the UX, develop the front end interfaces, build backend routes and design database models. - You can work remotely from anywhere with an overlap of at least four hours with the product team (6 pm to 10 pm IST)

Requirements

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Experience in mentoring junior team members. Better if they had gone to replace you in your team, allowing you to take up a more meaningful role
- Familiarity with our tech stack (React, Koa, Mongo, AWS, React Native)

Your First Six Months
- You will be working on creating AI Agents/Workflows based on the playbooks for some of the crucial workflows of HVAC office managers
- You will work on building the frontend, APIs and apply AI knowledge to add features to the office manager and admin portal, as well as the mobile app
- You will be using Vercel AI SDK to create abstracted AI agents and workflows with the capability of falling back to different providers
- You will demo the agentic workflows to US-based stakeholders—small HVAC business owners, product team and office managers
- You will monitor and manage the AI Workflows, ensuring quality and accuracy, improving them over time
