ABOUT THE ROLE :

Client delivers custom furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for hotels, resorts, and hospitality spaces across North America. We are seeking an experienced Interior Design AutoCAD Drafter to translate designer intent and FF&E specifications into precise, production-ready drawings. Working alongside our design leads, you will produce the technical documentation that drives manufacturing, procurement, and installation on complex hospitality projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop detailed FF&E drawings, shop drawings, and millwork details in AutoCAD from design concepts, sketches, and specifications.

• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D layouts for guestrooms, lobbies, restaurants, and public spaces.

• Create and maintain furniture schedules, finish schedules, and detailed component callouts tied to project specifications.

• Coordinate drawings with architectural, MEP, and structural backgrounds to resolve clashes and dimensional conflicts.

• Incorporate redlines and markups from design leads, ensuring revisions are tracked and documented accurately.

• Maintain drawing standards, layering conventions, title blocks, and the company template/library for consistency across projects.

• Support submittal packages, sample boards, and procurement documentation with accurate quantities and dimensions.

• Collaborate with manufacturing partners and the procurement team to ensure drawings are buildable and meet quality standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of professional drafting experience in interior design, FF&E, or a related field — hospitality experience strongly preferred.

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Strong understanding of construction documentation, dimensioning standards, and drawing conventions.

• Solid grasp of materials, finishes, and furniture/millwork construction methods.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and design drawings, specifications, and schedules.

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines.

• Clear written and verbal communication in English for coordination with U.S.-based design teams.

Backend (Primary Focus) ● Strong knowledge and experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. ● Strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development. ● Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) with Spring Boot. ● Proficiency in developing APIs using Redis and relational databases (MySQL preferred). ● Strong understanding of the AWS cloud platform, with experience using services like S3, Lambda. ● Good understanding of code versioning tools (Git) and bug-tracking systems (JIRA, etc.). ● Knowledge of DocumentDB or any other NoSQL document database is a plus.
