Roles & Responsibilities
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
- Experience in the Spring Framework.
- Experience with test-driven development.

● Understand, apply and extend state-of-the-art NLP research to better serve our customers.
● Work closely with engineering, product, and customers to scientifically frame the business problems and come up with the underlying AI models.
● Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative data and machine learning solutions to accelerate our business.
● Think creatively to identify new opportunities and contribute to high-quality publications or patents.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
● At Least 1 year of professional experience.
● Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields from the top colleges.
● Extensive knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, deep learning, NLP, recommendation systems, information retrieval.
● Experience applying ML to solve complex business problems from scratch.
● Experience with Python and a deep learning framework like Pytorch/Tensorflow.
● Awareness of the state of the art research in the NLP community.
● Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

- You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

Color Neon is a French brand that designs and manufactures custom LED neon signs. A customer sends us their text, logo or artwork and we turn it into a made-to-measure sign: they choose the font, colour and size, preview it in 3D, and see it on their own wall before they order.
We sell direct across France and Europe from colorneon.com. More than 10,000 homes, bars, restaurants, shops and event planners have bought from us. Every sign is handcrafted, energy-efficient LED neon with a 2-year warranty.
The business runs on Shopify. We built our own 3D neon configurator so customers can design their sign in the browser, and we work AI-first: the team uses Claude and Codex every day to build, test and ship.
We are now opening our first engineering seat in India, in Indore. Until now every technical decision has been made remotely from France. That changes with this hire: one engineer, sitting with the founder, owning the Shopify apps, the storefront rebuild and the configurator. One product, long term, with real ownership.
