Roles and Responsibilities for Product Owner / Data Solution Specialist
Role purpose
Own and drive the business and data requirements for assigned workstreams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements for architecture, modelling, engineering and reporting teams, while coordinating the relevant business and technology SMEs through design, validation and sign-off.
Key responsibilities
• Drive requirements and scope definition for the assigned data product/workstream and maintain clear traceability through design and delivery.
• Identify and coordinate regional and in-market business owners/working teams required to validate requirements and make decisions.
• Translate business requirements into data requirements, including critical data elements, KPIs, dimensions, source-data needs and derived-field/business logic.
• Work closely with Market IT, Business Data Architects, Data Modellers and Data Engineers to understand source systems and support mapping of source attributes into the target data model. The PO is expected to orchestrate this activity, not replace the relevant technical SMEs.
• Facilitate validation of mapped and unmapped data requirements, default values, consolidation/business rules and target-model requirements with business stakeholders.
• Provide business inputs into data-model, data-mart and reporting/dashboard design, including wireframes where relevant.
• Drive stakeholder reviews, requirement/design decisions and formal business sign-offs.
• Support delivery iteratively. Where requirements are substantially understood, progress agreed tranches rather than waiting for every outstanding item before engineering begins.
• Work alongside the Project Manager on dependencies, decisions and stakeholder mobilisation; project capacity management and overall programme coordination remain PM responsibilities.
Experience/profile required
• 7+ yrs of strong hands-on Product Owner, Business Analyst or Data Solution Specialist experience in enterprise data programmes.
• Demonstrable data-mart / data-warehouse delivery experience and ability to work across source-to-target mapping, business rules, data models and reporting requirements.
• Strong commercial insurance data knowledge is highly desirable, particularly policy, product, underwriting and financial dimensions. Reinsurance experience would be advantageous for relevant workstreams.
• Comfortable working across business, Market IT, architecture, data modelling, engineering and BI teams.
• Able to challenge requirements, structure ambiguity, drive decisions and obtain stakeholder sign-off rather than acting solely as a requirements coordinator.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across regional and market teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making

Job Description
This is a remote position.
Experience Level
We're looking for a seasoned Product Owner with at least 2–4 years of experience owning a product backlog end-to-end within an Agile delivery environment. You should be a "delivery craftsperson" who can demonstrate a track record of turning ambiguous, cross-team requirements into shipped, working software — with particular comfort operating inside platforms where your product's success depends on coordination with teams you don't manage.
Role Overview
As a Product Owner, you will own the backlog and delivery cadence for one product within a tightly interconnected platform, where your product's roadmap depends on — and feeds into — several sibling products. You'll act as the point of alignment between engineering teams, supporting product managers, and client stakeholders, translating business and compliance needs into backlog items ready for a development team to execute against.
A key part of the role is holding the line on requirements quality: defining clear acceptance criteria before work enters a sprint, and sequencing competing demands — new features, maintenance of live services, and production support — that your team carries simultaneously. Because your product does not operate in isolation, a large part of the job is coordinating dependencies across teams that don't report to you.
Key Responsibilities
- Backlog Ownership & Requirements Definition: Own and prioritize the product backlog; define acceptance criteria for accuracy, completeness, and readiness before stories are marked sprint-ready.
- Cross-Team Dependency Coordination: Sequence and negotiate delivery across multiple dependent engineering teams (platform, integration, infrastructure, and adjacent product teams), since most features require multi-team scheduling rather than single-team execution.
- Delivery Prioritization Under Competing Demands: Balance new feature development, maintenance of live production services, and active production support within the same backlog, without letting one silently starve the others.
- Domain Ramp-Up: Build working depth in the specific technical and regulatory domain tied to your assigned product — this may include healthcare EDI transaction standards, web-automation/data-extraction reliability, credential and access-security models, or regulated payments and remittance processing, depending on placement.
- Stakeholder & Requirements Governance: Partner with the supporting Product Manager and client-side stakeholders to close open requirement decisions before development starts, hold sign-off discipline, and manage rework risk from late-stage scope changes.
- Data & Interface Quality Ownership: Where your product's output feeds downstream systems, own the interface contract (field definitions, data completeness, naming) to prevent avoidable rework further down the chain.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven Product Ownership Experience: Track record owning a backlog end-to-end in an Agile environment, ideally within a platform where products are tightly coupled rather than independent.
- Domain Adaptability: Comfort ramping quickly into unfamiliar technical or regulatory domains — some assignments require near-immediate fluency (e.g., regulated payments, EDI standards), while others allow for a longer runway.
- Cross-Functional Coordination Skills: Demonstrated ability to sequence work and resolve competing priorities across multiple engineering teams that don't report into the same chain.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to write precise, testable acceptance criteria and reason through data quality or completeness gaps before they become delivery blockers.
- Strong Stakeholder Communication: Comfortable representing product status and trade-offs to both engineering teams and client-facing stakeholders, in plain, non-technical language when needed.
- Judgment Under Ambiguity: Able to recognize when a decision needs escalation versus independent ownership — particularly important for the more regulation-heavy assignments, where working without senior support isn't advisable early on.

PRODUCT ANALYST
Bridge Business Goals and Engineering Excellence through rigorous documentation and Gap Analysis.
You're the foundational anchor that turns business complexity into crystal-clear product specifications. You don't just gather requirements—you interrogate them, map every edge case, and eliminate ambiguity before a single line of code is written. Own the creation of comprehensive documentation (BRD, PRD, FRD), bridge the gap between stakeholders and engineering, and ensure every feature is built with absolute clarity and precision.
Cambridge Wealth is a fast-growing, award-winning investment services and fintech firm obsessed with quality. We serve a high-profile clientele (domestic, NRI, retail, and ultra-HNI professionals) and have been recognized by the BSE and major Mutual Fund houses. You'll work on documentation and feature specs that matter to ultra-HNI wealth clients and innovative fintech users simultaneously.
YOUR MISSION:
Own the requirements lifecycle—from stakeholder interviews and business analysis to comprehensive BRDs, PRDs, and FRDs. Hunt down functional bottlenecks and logical gaps before they reach development, translate complex wealth management workflows into unambiguous engineering specs, and keep the product pipeline airtight without cutting corners.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
Documentation Mastery (BRD, PRD, FRD)
Write comprehensive, crystal-clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs). Translate business objectives and user feedback into specs that leave zero room for ambiguity, complete with detailed user stories, workflow diagrams, and strict acceptance criteria.
Gap Analysis & Requirements Engineering
Proactively hunt for functional gaps, logical flaws, and edge cases in proposed features. Conduct rigorous root-cause analysis on requirement mismatches and clarify cross-system dependencies. You identify what is missing from a spec before engineering even looks at it.
Stakeholder & Business Alignment
Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, UI/UX designers, and engineering teams. Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, extract unstated assumptions, and translate complex financial and wealth management workflows into structured functional specifications.
Process & Workflow Mapping
Design clear process flows, system interaction diagrams, and data mapping blueprints. Ensure that internal operational workflows (such as investor onboarding, KYC, and portfolio tracking) are thoroughly documented and optimized for digital execution.
UAT & Quality Assurance Support
Partner closely with QA and engineering team to ensure implementation matches intent. Design comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases, validate releases against original BRD/FRD criteria, and document post-release discrepancies.
Backlog Grooming & Refinement Support
Collaborate with Product Managers/Owners to help refine, prioritize, and structure the product backlog. Ensure user stories are fully fleshed out with technical constraints, business rules, and precise acceptance criteria prior to sprint planning.
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF...
- You prefer high-level vision setting over writing detailed granular specifications and functional requirements.
- You are uncomfortable digging deep into complex operational and financial workflows to find hidden logic gaps.
- You struggle with structuring ambiguous business ideas into formal, structured documentation.
- You treat documentation as an afterthought rather than a core engineering asset.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Core Skills:
- 2+ years as a Business Analyst/Product Analyst, or similar role writing detailed BRDs, PRDs, and FRDs in fast-paced fintech or startup environments.
- Mastery of Requirement Engineering: Proven ability to elicit requirements, write user stories, map workflows, and define rigorous edge cases and acceptance criteria.
- Sharp Gap Analysis & Problem-Solving: An uncanny ability to spot inconsistencies, missing logic, and integration blind spots before development begins.
- Strong Communication & Technical Writing: You write pristine specs that developers can build directly from, aligning business goals with technical execution.
- Basic understanding of UX principles and user-centered design methodologies to ensure functional specs align with intuitive user journeys.
Technical Toolkit:
- Advanced Zoho/Google Sheets: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data structuring.
- Documentation & Diagramming Tools
- SQL (basic-to-intermediate): For data extraction, querying requirements, and quick analysis.
- Zoho CRM & Zoho Analytics: Familiarity with navigating these platforms is a strong plus.
Domain Knowledge (Bonus Points):
- Understanding of mutual funds, wealth management, fintech, or regulated financial services.
- Familiarity with complex investor onboarding flows, KYC compliance, or client delivery in financial services.
- Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams as a requirement writer or scrum master
WHY JOIN US?
- Massive Learning Curve: Learn how to build a Tech-led organization and a global-quality digital product from the ground-up (not just adding features to old software).
- You Matter: You’ll be a core contributor with a clear growth trajectory, not just a small cog in a huge wheel.
- Real Responsibility: Get competitive compensation and the flexibility that comes with proving yourself in a fast-growth, results-oriented environment.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
- Application & Initial Screen: Quick application with a few brief questions. (5 min)
- Online Challenge: Showcase your aptitude, documentation skills, and gap-analysis capabilities. (70-90 min)
- People Sync: Cultural and value alignment conversation. Do we think alike? (30 min)
- Deep Dive In-Person Interview: Discussion with product and senior leadership on requirement structuring. (1 hour)

Product Manager / Associate Product Manager
Turn messy real-world problems into simple products.
AbleCredit builds software for complex enterprise workflows where AI, APIs, business rules, human decisions, and real-world operations have to work together reliably. We care about building products that work in production - not just in demos. Our customers don't arrive with clean product requirements. They have operational problems involving people, policies, existing systems, edge cases, and workflows built over years. Product at AbleCredit means understanding that complexity deeply and turning it into reusable, simple product capabilities.
What You'll Own?
• Spend time with customers and internal teams to understand workflows, constraints, and the real problem behind requests.
• Translate ambiguous operational problems into clear product requirements, user journeys, and measurable outcomes.
• Work closely with engineering and design from discovery through rollout rather than handing off specifications.
• Prioritize based on customer impact, product strategy, effort, risk, and reuse across customers.
• Define success metrics and evaluate whether shipped products actually improve the workflow.
• Own launches, feedback loops, adoption, and iteration after release.
• Identify patterns across customer requests and turn them into reusable platform capabilities instead of one-off customizations.
• Maintain clarity on what we are building, why we are building it, and what we deliberately are not building.
What We're Looking For?
• 1-5 years of product, engineering, analytics, consulting, operations, or adjacent experience; level will be calibrated to experience.
• Strong problem decomposition and structured thinking.
• Ability to understand technical systems, APIs, data flows, and constraints well enough to work deeply with engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort speaking with customers and asking detailed questions until the underlying workflow is understood.
• Bias toward evidence, prototypes, and shipped outcomes rather than process for its own sake.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and make sensible trade-offs.
Nice to Have
• Experience with B2B SaaS, enterprise software, workflow products, fintech, or AI-assisted products.
• Technical background or prior engineering experience.
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, analytics, or operational products.
• Experience taking a product from discovery through adoption.
How Product Works Here?
Product managers are expected to understand the problem deeply, not act as ticket routers. The best solution may be a new feature, a platform primitive, a workflow change, an API, or deciding not to build something. Success is measured by customer and product outcomes, not PRD volume.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and translate business and customer requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Act as a consultant to stakeholders by understanding their needs and pain points, identifying gaps, and recommending practical solutions.
- Conduct detailed business, system, and gap analysis to identify problems, opportunities, feasibility, and potential solutions.
- Prepare functional artifacts including PRDs, epics, business process flows, and requirement documentation.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define, refine, and prioritize the product roadmap based on business value and customer impact.
- Evaluate and recommend AI-driven solutions to improve product capabilities, business processes, and customer experience.
- Collaborate closely with UX/Design, Engineering, QA, and Data teams to validate requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Engage with customers, particularly Engineering, DevOps, and FinOps teams, to gather feedback, identify pain points, improve adoption and satisfaction, and validate product direction.
- Track and report key business/product metrics from inception through closure, using insights to identify areas for improvement.
- Support Agile planning, release cycles, sprint delivery, UAT, documentation, training, and enablement for internal teams and external customers.
- Drive product roadmap planning by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize features, define business requirements, and align product initiatives with strategic goals.
- Leverage AI tools and methodologies to enhance requirement gathering, documentation, user story creation, and identify AI-driven opportunities to improve product capabilities and user experience.
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Preferably in cloud infrastructure, FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, or dev tools.
- Strong understanding of AWS or other public-cloud: you should know at least the major compute / storage / services / networking footprint and usage patterns.
- Proven ability to translate customer needs into product features, write product requirements (PRDs), and work with engineering teams on execution.
- Proficiency with product management, collaboration, and analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma, Productboard, BI dashboards, PostHog)
Position Overview:
We are building a new retail merchandising platform on top of that data. It answers what to stock, how much, and in which store, combining sales, catalogue, and customer data with GeoIQ’s location attributes at retail scale: thousands of stores, tens of thousands of SKUs, decisions made weekly.
As the product manager on this platform, you will own how those decisions reach the people who make them: category managers, planners and store operations teams. The models are being built alongside the product, so you will decide what gets built, in what order, and how its output fits into a buyer’s weekly planning cycle. You will work every day with data science and engineering, and what you ship changes what a store actually orders.
Responsibilities:
- Own one or more platform modules (demand forecasting, assortment planning, replenishment, new-launch allocation) from problem definition through to adoption.
- Spend time with merchandisers, category managers and store teams to understand how buying and replenishment decisions are made today, often in spreadsheets, and where that process breaks.
- Write specs that data science and engineering can build from: the decision being supported, its inputs, the business rules and constraints (minimum display quantities, pack sizes, warehouse reserves, brand rules), and what a good output looks like.
- Design the workflows that let planners act on model output with confidence: recommendation screens, overrides, explanations and exception queues.
- Define success metrics with the business (sell-through, stockouts, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, recommendation acceptance) and set up pilot-versus-control rollouts to measure them.
- Run pilots with store clusters and categories, gather feedback, and decide what changes before a module scales to the full network.
- Lead discovery when the platform extends to new brands and markets, each with its own data, supply chain and planning process.
- Keep the roadmap, priorities and trade-offs clear to merchandising, category, supply chain and leadership teams.
Expectations:
- Work experience: 2–5 years, with at least 2 years in product management
- Prior experience taking a product from problem definition to adoption by real users
- Comfortable with data: able to write SQL, work through a spreadsheet model, and read a model evaluation or A/B test result
- Clear written communication, including specs that engineers and data scientists can build from without a meeting
- Understanding of how ML-driven products differ: probabilistic outputs, accuracy limits, and the need for user overrides
- Experience with B2B, internal tools or data-heavy products will be an added advantage
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, merchandising, supply chain or inventory planning will be an added advantage
- Prior experience as an analyst, engineer or data scientist will be an added advantage
Join us early and own the product that decides what thousands of stores stock each week, working directly with the merchants who use it and the team that builds it.

- Strong track record of improving conversion, engagement, revenue, or retention through A/B testing and data-driven experimentation
- Experience with analytics, funnels, cohorts, and product metrics
- Active use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) in product work
- Strong stakeholder management across business, engineering, and design teams
- Experience writing PRDs, user stories, and working in Agile environments
- Current or recent experience in a B2C product company (FinTech preferred; otherwise Series B+ startup)
