Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Development and Customization

• Design, develop, and customize ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces within SAP HANA.
• Create and maintain data models using Core Data Services (CDS) views.
• Develop Fiori applications using SAPUI5 and OData services.

1. Performance Optimization

• Analyze and optimize existing ABAP programs for performance and efficiency, particularly for HANA databases.
• Implement best practices for coding and performance tuning specific to SAP HANA.

1. Integration

• Integrate SAP systems with third-party applications through APIs, web services, and IDoc interfaces.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

1. Testing and Documentation

• Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Document technical specifications, design documents, and development processes.

1. Troubleshooting and Support

• Identify and resolve issues related to ABAP programs and HANA database queries.
• Provide support for system upgrades and patches, ensuring compatibility and functionality.

1. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and project managers to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

1. Continuous Learning and Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices related to ABAP and HANA development.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

1. Project Involvement

• Contribute to project planning and estimation for ABAP development tasks.
• Collaborate in agile development environments, participating in sprints and stand-ups as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ABAP programming, experience with SAP HANA database, and knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
• Tools: Familiarity with SAP development tools (e.g., Eclipse-based ADT), SAP Fiori, and SAP Gateway.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
• Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
