Business Development Analyst

As an intern for the Artificial Intelligence business automation team, you will be focusing on researching and developing AI tools that automate some parts of our business automation. As business automation is important throughout the firm, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Springer. 

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with strong Kotlin experience to join our mobile development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving Android applications while ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define app features.
• Maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code.
• Implement modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM/MVP/MVI).
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and fix bugs to improve application performance.
• Write unit and UI tests to ensure application reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in Android development using Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
• Experience with MVVM architecture and Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room).
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of Material Design guidelines.
• Experience with debugging and performance optimization

• Key Responsibilities
• · Design and produce motion graphics and animations for videos, ensuring high-quality visuals and seamless integration.
• · Edit raw video footage and enhance it with graphics, animations, special effects, sound, and music.
• · Collaborate with the content team to conceptualise and execute video projects that align with our brand and marketing objectives.
• · Create engaging and on-brand graphics for video thumbnails, social media posts, and other digital content.
• · Edit and enhance video footage using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools.
• · Design visually appealing graphics using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• · Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• · Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in motion graphics and video production.
• · Maintain organised project files and documentation for easy collaboration and future reference.

Meet with stakeholders, customers, and project teams to collect requirements, scope projects, and contribute to creative 

and technical concepts 

∙Implement modifications to existing campaigns to accommodate changes in user requirements 

∙Employ best practices in developing, conducting, and interpreting A/B tests and personalization campaigns focused on user 

experience and effectiveness against project goals 

∙Identify areas for improvements and assist in managing projects to implement enhancements to completion  

∙Maintain campaign code in GitHub following established organization standards and development guidelines 

∙Ensure team process to enter and track implementation information including work items, tasks and issue management 

using JIRA 

Tools: 

∙Must have 5+ years minimum experience in building and maintaining web applications. 

∙Must have experience in web technologies HTML5, CSS3, JSON, JavaScript, Web services (SOAP/REST). 

∙Must have Experience in CSS and JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap, jQuery etc. 

∙Experience with SASS/LESS frameworks. 

∙Experience with source control systems like TFS, GIT etc. 

∙Experience with JavaScript application frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js is a plus. 

∙Knowledge of scripting languages and object-oriented concepts. 

∙Experience with Agile / Scrum software development practices. 

∙Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. 

∙Experience in any content management systems (CMS) preferred but not required. 

∙Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

∙A/B Testing or Personalization experience is preferred but not required. 

∙Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus or 

equivalent experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Building smooth UIs and designing responsive screens across both mobile platforms.
• Leveraging native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnosing and fixing bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Reaching out to the open source communities to encourage and help implement mission - critical software fixes (React Native updates frequently and dependent libraries might break).
• Maintaining code and writing automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality. 

Skills Required:  

• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle
• Understanding of REST APIs and offline storage
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing
• Experience with Cl/CD and version control (i.e., GitHub) highly valued 
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar
• Strong communication skills: you possess the ability to communicate complex problems in a simple and effective way
• Have worked in an agile and fast-paced environment (ideally at an e - commerce or logistics company)
• Ready to join the team immediately

• Develop and Integrate Django backend and API's with frontend framework.
• Develop Angular applications
• Working closely with UX and Front-end Developers
• Participating in architectural, design and product discussions
• Designing and creating RESTful APIs for internal and partner consumption
• Working in an agile environment with an excellent team of engineers

• Good experience developing Angular applications into production
• Good experience with the Django REST framework
• Strong understanding of the Angular framework as well as javascript, jQuery and HTML/CSS
• Good experience on designing and structuring of database most likely ORM (i.e MongoDB)
• Knowledge of how to build and use with RESTful APIs
• Good experience of Python coding skills
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.)
• Experience deploying Python applications into production
