• Scale + MLOps Optimise ML pipelines and fix autoscaling by applying queuing theory while juggling CPU / GPU memory contention.
• RAG & Knowledge Systems Design and deploy retrieval-augmented generation pipelines—chunking strategies, embedding models, reranking, and evaluation loops.
• AI Video & Image Processing Build rendering pipelines, diffusion-model integrations, and real-time video processing at scale. You'll own at least one project like these—design, build, iterate.

Signals You're Probably the Right Fit

• Strong in at least one other language (Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java …); happy to learn more.
• First principle understanding of how LLMs, embeddings, vector databases and AI Agents work
• Evidence of shipping real AI-powered software—OSS, side projects, or production features.
• Comfortable navigating the fast-moving AI landscape—papers, new model releases, evolving APIs.

About the role

We are looking for talented Senior Backend Engineers (5+ years of experience) to join our team and take ownership of different parts of our stack. You will be working alongside a team of Engineers locally and directly with the U.S. Engineering team on all aspects of product/application development. You will leverage your experiences and abilities to inform decisions across product development and technology. You will help us build the foundation of our 2nd Headquarters in Pune: its culture, its processes, and its practices. There are a ton of interesting problems to solve, so come hungry. Who we are: Our Co-Founder and CTO is a Serial Gen AI Inventor who grew up in Pune, India, is a BITS Pilani graduate, and worked at NVIDIA's Pune office for 6 years. There, he was promoted 5 times in 6 years and was transferred to the NVIDIA Headquarters in Santa Clara, California. After making significant contributions to NVIDIA, he proceeded to attend Harvard for his dual Masters in Engineering and MBA from HBS. Must have Requirements for the Role

8+ years of experience in a highly technical role at hyper-growth startup or fast-paced company and 2+ years of experience leading a team

Production level experience with Node.js or Go mandatory.

Experience building highly available and performant applications in any major programming language (e.g. Node.js, Go, Javascript)

In-depth knowledge and experience working with major cloud platform (e.g. AWS (must have experience))

Experience leading product teams

You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers

Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and with geographically distributed teamsIn-depth knowledge of database and web security
