Backend Developer Intern (Converts to full-time)

Job Description:
We are looking for a Backend developer who is proficient with Node.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known Node.js workflows. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for server-side web application logic and integration of the work front-end developers
• Write the web services and APIs used by front-end developer and mobile application developers.
• API integration Backup and restore technologies for a website’s files and DB
  
  

Skills:

• Proficient knowledge of the back-end programming language and the framework that is used by the company
• Understanding of front end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (to communicate with team members on the front-end) 
• Ability to manage a hosting environment, including database administration as well as scaling applications to handle load changes
• Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance 
• Experience with version control, such as Git
  
  

Notice Period - Immediate or 15 days or 30 days.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field
• 4-6 years of experience working across different product domains in a product development/engineering role

• Good communication skills necessary to manage business requests and work with different teams across differ-
ent geographies and time-zones; experience working with remote and distributed teams will be an added ad-
vantage

• Hands-on working knowledge and experience is requiredin:
a. JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS (Express, NestJs, etc.)
b. Experience working in GCP or AWS or Azure
c. Experience working in Containers & Unix Platforms
d. Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL, etc.)
e. Agile Methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc.)
f. Understanding of Microservices Architecture, Domain Driver Design, Test Driven Development and
Secure Design patterns and architecture is a must
g. Data Structures and Algorithms using Javascript, Typescriptand/or other Programing Languages
h. Strong organizational skills
i. Agile Methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc.)
• Experience with several of the following tools/technologies is desirable:
a. GIT (Bit Bucket, Gitlab, etc.), Jira, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, SharePoint, Eclipse/IntelliJ.
b. Design Patterns and implementing the Design Patterns
c. Development of Complex Application and System Architectures
d. NoSQL Databases (Redis, Mongo, etc.)
e. Full stack development
f. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines with for example GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus:
a. Other Programming Languages (Java, Python, etc.)
b. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools like Jenkins, Git, etc.
c. Secure Development based on OWASP standards

This person MUST have:
- B.E Computer Science or equivalent
- 3 years experience with the Django framework
- Experience with building APIs (REST or GraphQL)
- Strong Troubleshooting and debugging skills
- React.js knowledge would be an added bonus
- Understanding on how to use a database like Postgres (prefered choice), SQLite,
MongoDB, MySQL.
- Sound knowledge of object-oriented design and analysis.
- A strong passion for writing simple, clean and efficient code.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git.
- Strong communication skills.

- Startup experience is a must.
Location:
- Remote developer
Timings:
- 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone. Typically
clients are in California PST Timezone.

• Proficient in software development from inception to production releases using modern
programming languages ( Preferably Java, NodeJS, and Scala)

• Fluency in AWS, Azure, Serverless Functions in AWS or Azure and in Docker and Kubernetes

• Deep understanding of modeling real-world scheduling and process problems into algorithms
running on memory and compute efficient data structures.
