Assistant Technical Project Manager

The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives and product innovations and development within the CarTrade Tech Labs . This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for emerging technologies, and the ability to drive ideas from conception to implementation by working together with various stakeholders including engineering, marketing, sales and external customers. The role will rely deeply on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI capabilities to unlock new product opportunities and features, improve decision-making, and drive innovation-led growth.

Key Responsibilities

● Be a part of the product development life cycle for certain defined products.

● Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and user research to inform product strategy.

● Develop and clearly communicate product roadmaps, strategic objectives, and growth opportunities.

● Collaborate closely with technical, design, and business teams to build, test, and launch new products and services.

● Identify and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances to accelerate innovation and enhance market positioning.

● Define and track success metrics, analyze performance data, and adapt strategies based on data-driven insights.

● Champion a culture of experimentation, agile execution, and continuous learning within the Lab.

● Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML and Generative AI solutions into products, workflows, and strategic initiatives.

● Work with engineering and data teams to conceptualize, evaluate, and scale AI-driven product features and automation use cases.

● Stay updated on emerging AI trends, LLM ecosystems, and applied AI innovations to inform product strategy and competitive positioning.

● Drive experimentation using AI-enabled tools for user insights, personalization, automation, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

● Post graduate degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

● 3+ years of experience either in Product Management .

● Strong analytical skills and familiarity with market research methodologies.

● Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

● Passion for technology trends and familiarity with agile product development methodologies.

● Hands-on Experience in product management is required.

● Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or data-driven product initiatives, either through product development, strategy projects, or experimentation.

● Understanding of AI product lifecycle concepts such as model evaluation, experimentation, data feedback loops, or AI-enabled user experiences is a strong plus.

● Familiarity with AI tools, LLM-based applications, analytics platforms, or AI-assisted decision-making frameworks will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure product quality as per drawings, specifications, and standards
• Handle production planning, scheduling, and daily shop-floor operations
• Inspect incoming, in-process, and final products
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and SOPs
• Coordinate with production, design, and sales teams to meet delivery timelines
• Identify defects, implement corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure machine utilization, manpower efficiency, and safety compliance

Requirements:

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical or related field
• Experience in manufacturing / prototyping / vacuum casting / 3D printing preferred
• Knowledge of quality tools, measuring instruments, and production processes
• Strong problem-solving and team coordination skills

Company Description

We are an SF-based stealth mode AI startup, building AI agents and automation tools for Marketing use-cases. We are ex-Big Tech, currently bootstrapped and working with a few design partners/early customers. We will be starting a fundraise in Q3 2024.

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Founding Engineer (first engineering hire). This is an equity-only role, meaning compensation will be in the form of equity rather than a salary.

This role will be 30% applied research and 70% product engineering. The expectation is that you will be able to commit 15 hours per week for this role to begin with.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field (Also open to university students for the right candidate)
• Knowledge of gen-AI systems (LLMs, model training/fine-tuning, agent frameworks, evaluation frameworks, vector DBs, RAG, etc)
• Experience in building and scaling backend systems and infrastructure
• Strong generalist, skilled with Python, cloud infrastructure (AWS).

• Strong knowledge of Core PHP, Shopify, Magento.
• Good knowledge of any PHP framework ( CodeIgniter and CakePHP )

• Strong experience in Endeca, ATG and BCC, Solr, any Headless CMS
• Considerable experience in databases such as SQL Server/Mongo DB is an added advantage
• Good experience in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular/React/VueJS is an added advantage

• Under limited supervision, oversee the design, purchase, installation, and support of network communications and services for customers, including LAN/WAN/SD-WAN services in central and remote offices (requires thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN systems, networks, and applications).
• Provide technical and procedural direction for the actual implementation of the infrastructure, as well as interface with internal users, development personnel, and other technical staff to understand and meet their requirements.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and DNS\DHCP\IPAM solutions.
• Ensures business continuity in the appropriate technology by ensuring systems are configured appropriately in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree and/or technical training/certifications (Cisco certifications).
• 5+ years experience in network implementation and operations.
• 5+ years experience working with enterprise Ethernet, VLANs, QoS, routing, switching, and IP addressing.
• Experience working with carrier technologies including MPLS, SDWAN, Ethernet, P2P, and Internet for systems interconnectivity.
• After-hours and weekend work will be required, including participation in the department on-call rotation.
• The candidate needs to be skilled in the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of network incidents.
• ITIL familiarization is desired (Incident/Problem/Change/Configuration Management).
• Palo Alto firewall and F5 BigIP load balancer experience.
• BlueCat DNS\DHCP\IPAM experience.
• Experience with Cisco ASR routers and IPSEC tunnels.
• Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences

Job Description

Requirements

• 3 to 9 years of experience developing C# .NET applications
