We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a passionate automation expert who thrives on building robust test frameworks, mentoring team members, and driving quality excellence across our products. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our automation strategy while ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable test solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for end-to-end testing
• Implement and optimize test frameworks using TestNG/JUnit to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Build and manage automation projects using Gradle build tool
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies that align with product requirements and business objectives
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation best practices and technical skills development
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality automation code standards
• Debug and troubleshoot complex test failures, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test automation processes and methodologies
• Champion quality assurance best practices across the organization

Build backend systems that make complex workflows reliable, maintainable, and easier to evolve. You’ll work on production Python services, modernize existing applications, and deliver APIs and integrations used by real teams.

The role is focused on backend development using Python, Django, and FastAPI, with occasional contributions to frontend applications built with React or Next.js. You will work across API development, system integrations, data workflows, background processing, and the modernization of existing services.

You will help improve reliability and operational maturity using AWS, practical Site Reliability Engineering principles, and observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar tools.

This is a backend-first role for an engineer who understands that testing, security, reliability, and observability are core parts of production software development.

What you'll do

• Own the delivery and day-to-day reliability of clearly scoped backend features and APIs built with Python, Django, and FastAPI.
• Improve the maintainability of existing services by simplifying legacy workflows, business logic, data models, and integrations.
• Deliver secure, well-documented APIs that enable frontend applications, internal tools, and third-party integrations.
• Keep data workflows reliable through safe schema changes, migrations, backfills, validation, and failure recovery.
• Build background jobs and asynchronous workflows that handle retries, timeouts, rate limits, idempotency, and operational failures.
• Raise confidence in releases through automated tests, thoughtful code reviews, and production-readiness checks.
• Improve performance and reliability using profiling, query optimization, caching, monitoring, and practical fault handling.
• Make services easier to operate by maintaining useful logs, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.
• Contribute to React or Next.js integrations and internal administration interfaces when needed to deliver complete product outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, platform, DevOps, SRE, and operations teammates to ship well-scoped solutions and document technical decisions.

What we're looking for

Required

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, mainly in backend development.
• Good proficiency in Python and production experience with either Django or FastAPI, with willingness to learn the other.
• Practical experience designing REST APIs and integrating with third-party or internal services.
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, an ORM such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy, and database migrations.
• Experience writing automated tests and diagnosing defects or production issues.
• Good problem-solving, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with background jobs or asynchronous processing using Celery, SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar tools.
• Experience deploying or supporting applications on AWS or another cloud platform.
• Familiarity with structured logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and observability tools.
• Exposure to React or Next.js integrations.
• Experience with Docker, Redis, webhooks, queues, or event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
• Experience helping with production incidents, performance testing, or safe deployment practices.

The candidate should have extensive experience in designing and developing scalable data pipelines and real-time data processing solutions. As a key member of the team, the Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in building end-to-end data workflows, supporting machine learning model deployment, and driving MLOps practices in a fast-paced, agile environment. Strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, AWS SageMaker, and Terraform is essential. Additional experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD for ML models is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance ETL and real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
2. Build scalable and automated MLOps pipelines for training, validation, and deployment of models using AWS SageMaker and associated services.
3. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage AWS environments.
4. Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and DevOps teams to streamline model deployment workflows and ensure reliable production delivery.
5. Optimize data storage and retrieval strategies for large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
6. Develop data transformation logic and integrate data from various internal and external sources into data lakes and warehouses.
7. Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance performance of data systems in a cloud-native, fast-evolving production setup.
8. Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security standards across all data handling activities.
9. Document data engineering solutions and workflows to facilitate cross-functional understanding and ongoing maintenance.

Required skills / knowledge

• Experienced in software development and proficient in one or more of the following

programming languages - Python, JAVA and/or Perl.

• Experience with SDLC (software development lifecycle) best practices with large software

development projects is a must.

• Good knowledge in Computer Science fundamental

• Good organizational and English communication skills, prioritization of multiple projects and

objective.

Preferred skills / knowledge:

• Knowledge of storage technologies and disciplines namely, Fibre Channel, ISCSI, SCSI, NFS, CIFS,

POSIX, Object Storage, SAS, SATA, FLASH (NVME, SSD, etc.), RAID, Erasure Coding,

Distributed/Scale-out Storage, File systems, High-availability methods, working knowledge of

databases etc. are strongly preferred. Understanding networking protocols and connectivity

preferred.

• System Architecture experience within enterprise UNIX (RHEL)/Windows Server environments,

Container environments (RH Open Shift/Kubernetes/Docker, etc.) and Cloud environments

(Azure/AWS/Google) is highly desirable but not required.

• Understanding of Client/Server, Scaleout architectures, virtualization, performance and capacity

management strongly preferred.

• Good knowledge and experience of using Linux provisioning and system configuration

management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt Stack, or Chef strongly preferred. Experience in

automation of a large-scale Linux deployment is preferred.

• Effective troubleshooting skills across O/S, network and storage.

• Knowledge in the following vendor products is preferred but not required: NetApp

7mode/cDOT/Engenio, IBM Spectrum Scale (aka GPFS), HDS Storage Arrays/HCP, EMC Atmos,

Brocade SAN/FOS, Veritas Storage Foundation Suite

• 2-5 years of software development experience especially in web development with open source technologies like PHP, Linux, etc.
• Good experience in object-oriented programming/modular programming.
• Strong understanding of MVC design patterns and frameworks.
• Exposure to PHP framework Laravel is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Flutter is a plus.
• Knowledge of fundamentals like traits, namespace, OOPS, and interfaces will be preferred.
• Ability to do hands-on coding and pro-actively drive emphasis on quality, maintainable code.
• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Well-informed about all the latest technologies and developments in the industry.
