Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Manager/Engineer in the Branch Service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and technical support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing service support to customers based on sales requirements.
- Offering technical support to sales engineers and customers.
- Planning and attending pending service jobs promptly.
- Responding to emergency service requests within designated timeframes.
- Inspecting customer units, performing failure analysis on-site, and providing service estimates to sales engineers.
- Performing geared-motor servicing at customer locations based on confirmed sales documentation.
- Conducting geared-motor servicing at the Service Center as per written confirmation.
- Coordinating and arranging the service of geared motors requiring off-site servicing.
- Conducting service training for customer engineers upon request from sales.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of service orders and files.
- Updating records in the system for the branch and Head Office.
- Providing feedback for maintaining necessary spare inventory at the branch in coordination with the Branch Manager/Regional Manager.
- Ensuring the Service Center, tools, tackles, and equipment are well-maintained.
- Assisting in other tasks as directed by the Branch Manager/Regional Manager in the absence of service jobs.
- Ensuring documentation and records adhere to QMS department procedures.
Authority:
- Preparing and providing service estimates.
- Creating and signing service reports for customer review.
- Deciding on component replacements during service jobs up to Rs.10,000 (in collaboration with Manager Service/Branch Manager).
- Making informed decisions on the course of actions during service engagements.
Dimensions:
- Area: Responsible for all regions within the sales branch.
- Customer Value: Handling service for 250-300 customers.
Profile:
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a reputable institute.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance or servicing similar products within any engineering industry.
- Skills Required: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management, strong Repairing and Troubleshooting skills, effective Communication Skills.

Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and commission SPMs and Automated Equipment in collaboration with the fabrication team
2. Calculate & problem solve on design challenges in various equipment from conceptual proposals to detailed design.
3. Improve existing equipment with targeted performance and automation upgrades
4. Create detailed engineering drawings and bills of materials
5. Develop equipment operational and maintenance documentation in collaboration with process & fabrication teams and conduct relevant training

Requirements
1. B. Tech. / M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with extensive hands-on experience in SPM design for diverse applications
2. Preference of candidate with prior work experience in process industries (for ex. paper, sugar, chemical, paint, fertilizer, oil & gas)
3. Knowledge of machine shop fabrication processes
4. Proficiency with all types of automation components, sensors, electromechanical actuators, motion control, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
5. Good experience in FEA
6. Ability to work both independently and in teams
7. Proficiency with Solid Modelling 3D CAD, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
8. Extensive knowledge of material specifications/ grades/properties/uses with engineering codes, and extensive knowledge of engineering accessories like pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes etc.
Good knowledge in AutoCAD 2D and basic 3D .
