Role Summary:

We are looking for a Java Lead to join Deqode’s backend engineering team. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Java technologies along with the ability to lead a team and drive complex technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership as Lead Developer for backend services.
• Manage a team of 5-7 Java developers; mentor and guide juniors.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
• Contribute in writing clean, testable, scalable code using Java and Spring Boot.
• Own and drive technical design discussions and implementations.
• Work with cross-functional teams: Frontend, QA, DevOps, Product, and 3rd parties.
• Ensure robust unit testing, code coverage, and maintain high quality deliverables.
• Troubleshoot defects and support production deployments.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of Java development experience
• Expertise in Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Strong experience in Microservices Architecture
• Knowledge of Netflix OSS or Spring Cloud
• Proficient in writing JUnit test cases
• CI/CD pipeline experience in real-time projects
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to AWS Cloud Services from a development perspective

What you'll do?

• Write awesome code
• The focus will be on performance of our data platform
• Identify tactical and long-term product improvements (could be code, script, etc.)
• Responsible for Planning and executing Metadata and Governance tool supports
• Build our internal Data Platform using exdata
• Adding scalable functionality to the system for new features like UDF's, sql functions etc

We are looking for a Technology Leader to help us build the next-generation InsureTech platform from scratch. You will work with an amazing set of engineers on some of the most challenging tech problems and impact million of lives. 

Responsibilities:

- Define the technical architecture for Vital

- Complete responsibility of the development of the backend, web app, and the native app

- Recruit, manage and mentor a team of frontend developers, backend developers and quality engineers

- Ensure timely delivery of all features 

- 50% of the time will be in the actual development and 50% in code reviews, management and building the team

Requirements:

- 10+ years of application development experience in a good product company

- Expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases, and caching technologies

- Must have managed a team of developers and QA engineers

- Must be hands-on with coding and development

- Undergrad CS degree from NIT or a good regional college is a MUST

Experience: 5 - 6 years

• Strong knowledge of OOP, C#, LINQ, SQL Server.
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Demonstrable knowledge of any one of the JavaScript frameworks - Angular JS or ReactJS.
• Must be strong in .net MVC.
• Minimum 1 yr experience in .Net Core, Web API.
