Android Security Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for the e-commerce gift card product, covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing when necessary, focusing on critical paths, edge cases, and user experience.
• Bug Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools. Work with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure product quality.
• Performance Testing: Lead efforts to test the scalability and performance of the gift card platform, ensuring it can handle high volumes of transactions and users.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest QA tools, trends, and best practices. Continuously seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of QA processes.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality releases.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
• Perform database testing and write SQL queries to validate data in backend.
• Utilize Charles Proxy or similar tools(like DevTools) for network traffic analysis and debugging.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify expectations.
• Document test cases, test plans, and report defects efficiently.
• Ensure good software quality standards and best practices.
• Lead and mentor junior testers if required.

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong experience in API testing and database validation.
• Proficiency in SQL queries for data validation and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with web and mobile app testing.
• Ability to work with network proxy tools such as Charles Proxy.
• Ability to interact with cross-functional teams and drive discussions on requirements and issue resolutions.
• Experience in Azure DevOps for defect tracking and test management tools.

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

• Knowledge of the quality assurance and testing concepts, methodologies, metrics, automated testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
• Should have knowledge/experience in creating Test Plans, Test scripts, Test cases.
• Collaborate well with others. Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms.
• Preferred knowledge/understanding of different mobile operating systems (Android, iOS)
• Preferred knowledge/experience testing both front-end (GUI)and back-end (database query) applications                                                        
• Experience using Git / Github

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in software quality assurance
• Solid experience in any of the programming languages such as Java, Python, JS, etc
• Experience working with Selenium automation testing, Jmeter, etc
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and process
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Solid experience in automation tools for unit, functional, API, UI, performance, and/or security testing
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Salesforce Testing, Certifications, and JIRA knowledge will be an advantage
• Hands-on experience in framework creation is preferable
• Experience in Git is mandatory

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing requirement documents, specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities
• Designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform different levels of testing such as regression testing, sanity testing, smoke testing, etc
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product owners) to identify system requirements, debug results
• Track quality assurance metrics
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Managing and supporting the QA team
• Responsible for the deliverables of the QA team
• Reviewing test scenarios, test cases from the QA team

• 2+ yrs experience with manual testing on mobile (automation testing is an advantage) 
• Manual testing experience in testing for Android & iOS is MUST
• JIRA or other bug tracking tool experience 
• The QA Analyst will be expected to complete manual testing on both iOS and Android devices, be able to enter findings into Jira, and follow up on defects discovered
• PRD Reviews, Test Case coverage and Execution, able to handle End to End Application testing and release process.
• API testing experience and Basic SQL knowledge
• ADB commands, Android Studio, Xcode, Understanding Logs, SDK’s.
• Work as part of cross functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is maintained.                                                                                                                Good To Have Skills :
