Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Software Tester with 1–2 years of experience in manual and/or automation testing. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery by identifying bugs, writing test cases, and executing comprehensive test cycles.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze software requirements and design test cases to ensure functionality and performance.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve software quality.
• Perform functional, regression, system, and performance testing.
• Execute automated testing using tools like Selenium, JMeter, or Appium.
• Participate in agile development processes, including stand-up meetings and sprint planning.
• Prepare detailed test reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Conduct security and usability testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Manage test data to create realistic testing scenarios.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure all functionalities work correctly before release.

1. Technical skills

• Knowledge of manual testing and automated testing tools (Selenium, JMeter, Appium, etc.).

• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, SQL) is a plus.

Eligibility Criteria :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• ISTQB certification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of any scripting or programming language is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

-       Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications across various functionalities.

-       Develop and maintain automated test scripts using MSTest framework.

-       Identify and report bugs and defects through a bug tracking system.

-       Analyze test results, diagnose issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.

-       Participate in code reviews to identify potential defects early in the development process.

-       Stay up-to-date with the latest QA methodologies and best practices.

-       Contribute to the improvement of existing testing processes and documentation.

-       Work effectively within an Agile development environment.

-       Clearly communicate test findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

-       Proven experience in manual testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, exploratory testing).

-       Expertise in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using MSTest.

-       Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

-       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

-       Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

-       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-       Experience with API testing is a plus.

-       Familiarity with other automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.

As a software tester, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You'll conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users. Your role is integral to the creation of software systems and technical products. You'll need to be familiar, or become familiar with, programming and using coding languages.

Responsibilities:

• Extensively working on Manual Testing/API Testing/Functional or UI Testing.
• Develop test strategies and test plans for projects.
• Participate in developing and reviewing the test policies for the organization.
• Defining the scope of testing within the context of every release and every software testing level or cycle.
• The use of resources in an effective way and managing the resources for software testing.
• Applying the appropriate test measurement and metrics for the software product and testing team.
• Designing test scenarios for software usability, running these tests, and preparing reports on the effectiveness and defects to the production team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years-10 years of related work experience in API and Functionality testing preferably in the Payments domain.
• Ability to work in a high-performance environment.
• Must be a Graduate in B. E/BSC. IT/BCA or Equivalent.

• As a Senior Software Test Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to test/qualify new products and enhancements to existing products as part of a cross functional team. You are required to verify and validate software changes for new products, enhancements and defects.
• Responsible for verifying that the software complies with the requirements and that the various customer use-cases can be satisfactorily met by the software.
• Work very closely with the project/baseline manager and development team to understand the architecture and design of the system and the interaction between various software sub-systems and components.
• Prepare and execute test plans for software releases, document and automate test cases to exercise the various features and capabilities of the software, identify and capture bugs and related information in the bug tracking database.
• Develop higher complexity test cases, test suite selection and execute all necessary testing activity required for a customer software release (negative and backward compatibility scenarios) per assignment, group objectives and product requirements.
• Document, enhance and maintain regression test procedures over the lifecycle of the software.
• Execute the software release test plans and certify that a software release has met the quality criterion(s) for various phase exits (pre-alpha, alpha, beta).
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Independently manage schedule for his/her projects and deliverables, seamlessly works with all key stakeholders to ensure delivery is never on the critical path
• Consistently look out for areas of improvement in all areas of software product development and processes, champions implementation of identified best practices

• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology
• Prior experience in supervisory control systems software would be a plus (but not mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of software test methodologies, tools, standards and processes.
• Good hands on programing experience in any of the scripting/programming languages (C++, C#, Java Script)
• Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience of working in global teams and interfacing with multiple stake holders

Desired Skills & Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Development
• Experience in agile & scrum methodologies
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive acceptance criteria, test plans, and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of SQL scripting
• BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related subject is a plus
• Automation experience within the Selenium framework (Java) is a plus
• Performance (stress/load) testing is a plus
