Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to release high quality software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with the tech team and the product manager, designing testing strategies, automated and manual testing for mobile and web modules of the product. It is an individual contributor role wherein the person would work with a small but highly competitive and effective team.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Execute test cases as per Test plans.
• Design, write & execute functional and regression tests.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot and test software.
• Ensure delivery of extremely high quality products to end customers.
• Adopt and adhere to QA processes.
• Run non-functional tests using automated tools.

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of work experience as a Quality assurance engineer.
• Hands-on experience in Web, Mobile & API testing.
• Experience using API management tools like Postman.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
• Prior experience working in a product based startup would be preferred.
• BE/BTech Computers, MSc/MCA or similar.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Good understanding of QA methodology, automation expertise and ability to code.
• A keen understanding of the latest trends and their role in a commercial environment is needed.
• Develop, Execute the test cases and Report Bugs
• Send regular status reports, on bugs and functionality, tested
• Record test results, screenshots, etc. (failed ones)
• Create the test report and Conduct post-testing clean-up
• Run the regression tests
• Suggest fixes, identify functional problems and document technical issues and solutions
• In-depth knowledge of the SDLC as well as various software testing methodologies.
• Perform Functional/Black box testing, SQL queries, and Data Analysis.
• Using Bug tracking (Trello/JIRA), Project Tracking and SVN software produced various reports/metrics.
• Support the testing phase (system testing, SIT, UAT, non-regression testing) and ensure quick turnaround of defect fixes.
• You will participate in design and specification reviews, and use this information to design test plans.
• Manage and communicate regular updates on project status like work completed, work in progress, next steps, risks, mitigation, quality to QA manager and stakeholders.
• Present complex technical ideas (both written and verbal), anticipate potential objections and persuade others to adopt the most appropriate view.
• Establish an end-to-end view and capture all key requirements. establish clear functional and non-functional requirements like capacity, availability, and response times.
• Ensure that all requirements are 'testable' and agree on test strategy with the business and test team lead.
• Should have basic knowledge on integrating API Keys for AI tools.

• Write automated test scripts under the direction of the Test Automation Lead.
• Ability to work independently on tasks / modules assigned related to automation
• Monitoring of and reporting on the progress of the test automation process
• Reporting on the quality of the test object
• Raise risks on time and provide alternate solutions to mitigate the risk
• Advice and support for the implementation of all types of tools

Job Description :

Design test plans, write test cases, review functional requirement documentation, and present test strategies for team review

• Conduct integration, regression, ad-hoc, and edge-case testing as part of release cycles
• Analyze complicated software system and design a strategy to test this system
• Understand and represent customer needs in product feedback discussions
• Participate in release management and post deployment testing
• Work closely with developer team to ensure proper test coverage is done

Job Profile Requirement : 

Experience of testing web applications, mobile applications.

• Knowledge of Responsive Testing
• Working knowledge of functional, GUI, Performance and Regression testing
• Strong knowledge of QA procedures, principles, and tools.
• Strong verbal and written (technical) communication skills to explain bugs and other issues identified and produce bug reports, documentation and feedback to both product owners and software developers.
• Ability to work in an environment of perfection and compliance to web standards and high design quality benchmarks.
• Strong organisational and time management skills - know what you need to do, and DO IT!

Designation: Associate - QA

Office Location: Goregaon Mumbai

Position description: 2+ years of hands on experience in testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• To work closely with software developers and product planners to understand more about what the product is for, its key features and the intended audience
• Required to carry out a mix of key functional and non-functional tests such as Sanity, Regression, Load, Security and Deployment
• Required to plan test cases in consultation with the stake holders
• Required to document all bugs and findings of these tests and ensuring they are addressed

Required Skills:

Mandatory: Passionate about sports, Problem solving, Team player, Target & Result oriented.

Functional: Manual Functional Testing of Web and Mobile Applications, Writing Test Cases, Regression Testing, Data Verification, GIT & JIRA, Basic Automation Testing,
Testing feeds - Understanding of JSON and XML structures, Testing tools like Postman, Swagger & Charles Proxy, Browser Development Tools,GIT & JIRA.

• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Design test cases based on the use cases and considering various quality aspects.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Perform in-depth and thorough testing of the owned features/areas.
• Maintain the test cases and test results in test management system.
• Maintain the defects in defect Management system.
• Plan and realise the test environment, platforms, test cycles and regression cycles based on the strategy and quality evaluation at different stages of the product.
• Keep updated on the latest testing and domain technologies, test coverage methodologies and quality metrics.
• Develop skills on automation and testing tools.
• Should guide junior members in performing their activities effectively and help them develop technical skills.

• BE/B-Tech/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Should have at least 4 years of relevant experience in QA.
• Proven working experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting is big plus
