About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer – SDE 2 with 3+ years of hands-on experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Android Architecture Components, Dependency Injection, REST APIs, and performance optimization.

The candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile applications.

Mandatory Skills :

Kotlin, Android SDK, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, MVVM, LiveData, Room, View Binding, Data Binding, Dagger / Hilt, ANR & Memory Leak Resolution, RecyclerView Optimization, REST APIs, JSON / Proto, Unit & Integration Testing, Git, Jenkins, Android Architecture & Design Patterns.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement features using Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, Room, LiveData, View Binding, and Data Binding.
• Identify and resolve ANRs, memory leaks, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement Dependency Injection using Dagger / Hilt and follow clean architecture and coding best practices.
• Integrate REST APIs, JSON / Proto, and optimize RecyclerView / UI performance.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and stability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with modern Android technologies; Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience is a strong plus.

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Kotlin Flow.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Experience with MVVM, LiveData, Room, View Binding, Data Binding.
• Strong understanding of Android application architecture and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with ANR detection and resolution.
• Hands-on experience with memory leak detection and resolution.
• Experience with Dagger / Hilt or other Dependency Injection frameworks.
• Strong experience in RecyclerView optimization.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and/or Protocol Buffers (Proto).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Strong knowledge of Git.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of software design principles and coding best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have :

• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) will be a strong advantage.
• Experience working on large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Experience with performance profiling and Android debugging tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Requirements:

• Solid programming skills in Java/Kotlin.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience in Reactive programming, Asynchronous programming and Unit Testing will be an added advantage.
• 0-3 years of experience in product driven organisation.
• A Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering from a reputed institute (preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes)
