closely with Tax, Finance, and Engineering teams, ensuring that Vertex solutions are optimized to meet compliance, reporting, and scalability needs—particularly within the hospitality industry.
What Will You Be Doing?
• Collaborate with tax and finance stakeholders to gather requirements and design Vertex-based solutions.
• Implement and manage Vertex configurations, integrations, and tax reporting processes across global operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of Vertex with core financial and operational systems.
• Drive automation and process improvements in indirect tax workflows (VAT, GST, occupancy tax, sales/use tax, etc.).
• Provide expertise in tax domain challenges specific to the hospitality sector and ensure solutions align with business needs.
• Support audit readiness, reconciliations, and ongoing compliance through effective use of Vertex tools.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME), advising stakeholders on Vertex best practices and future enhancements.
What Makes You the Perfect Fit?
• 8+ years of overall experience in the Tax domain, with strong exposure to indirect taxes.
• 5+ years of hands-on Vertex expertise including setup, configuration, integration, and reporting.
• Proven ability to work in client-facing roles, engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
• Good understanding of tax requirements in the hospitality industry (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in large-scale, global tax transformation programs.
• Exposure to ERP and billing systems commonly integrated with Vertex.

- Over 8 years of experience and 5+ in API/mulesoft
- Expert with API technology including (REST, JSON, XML, Web Security, API Management, Public/Private APIs)
- Strong experience with MuleSoft cloud hub/AnyPoint Platform with proven experience architecting, designing, implementing enterprise services, and platform operations.
- Should be proficient in developing enterprise standards, guidelines, best practices and policies for the Mulesoft platform and drive adoption
- Should be able to provide technical expertise in bringing-in automation across API life cycle ( code quality, migration, deployment, platform monitoring etc) using tools such as App Dynamics, puppet, chef or any similar tools
- Should be hands-on and proficient in DevOps methodologies such as CICD, test automation etc
- Should be able to evangelize and work with enterprise architects on API driven architecture, platform roadmap
