Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer with strong skills in SQL, Python, and Linux to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have experience working with large datasets, ETL processes, and relational databases while ensuring data quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Develop Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
• Work in Linux environments to manage scripts, cron jobs, and system processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across systems.
• Collaborate with data analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Optimize database performance and query execution.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, CTEs, indexing, query optimization).
• Good programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Manage different versions of complicate code and distribute them to different teams in the organization utilizing TFS.
• Develop an ASP.Net application to input and manage a production schedule, production statistical analysis and trend reporting.
• Create routines for importing data utilizing XML, CSV and comma delimitate files.
• Filter and cleanse OLTP data with complex store procedures and SSIS packages in the staging area.
• Develop a dimensional database and OLAP cube using SSAS for analysis, maintenance and good customer service.
• Involve in development and implementation of SSIS, SSRS and SSAS application solutions for various business units across the organization.
• Extract the data from XML and load it to dimensional model.
• Maintain SQL scripts, indexes, complex queries for data analysis and extraction.
• Create advanced reports like dashboard and scoreboard using SharePoint and power pivot for better presentation of data.
• Create cubes in SSAS reports which require complex calculations such as calculation of the premium for a particular policy.
• Create SharePoint sub sites, lists, libraries, folders and apply site permissions according to the given requirement.
• Work with business analysts, subject matter experts, and other team members to determine data extraction and transformation requirements.
• Develop T-SQL functions and store procedures to support complex business requirements.
• Create and configure an OLTP replication database for disaster recovery purpose.
• Designed/Implemented/Maintain OLAP servers and processes to replicate production data to the server.

What you need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in software design, development and deployment 
• Must have extensive experience in architecture, design and development on .NET framework, C#, WPF
•  Must have experience of relational database such as My SQL and MS SQL Server
• Must have experience in Web Services, SOAP, TCP
• Must have excellent experience in debugging, Problem Solving and root cause analysis 
• Must have experience on writing Nunit test cases
•  Exposure to new tech stacks: AI, ML, BigData, Cloud, Broker Engine, Rule Engine, Report Builder
•  Strong exposure to Mean Stacks (Mongo, Express, Angular, Node and React for simple and scalable full stack applications)
• Should have good experience of creating designs & design patterns.
