Who we are looking for
We are looking for Fullstack Engineers with a 1+ year experience to join our team at Salarybox. You will be an integral part of building the backend architecture and developing core systems.
Skills you will bring to the team
- 1+ years of experience working with frontend and backend technologies at scale.
- Experience developing a backend service in Python.
- Experience developing a robust frontend in React.
- Experience in a wide variety of technical tools such as different DB types, queues, design patterns, and architectures.
- Basic understanding of Dev Ops.
- Hands-on attitude and ability to drive solutions to completion.

- Plan the right architecture, build features, and push it all to production.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with at least 6 years experience. You will be an integral part of building the back-end architecture and developing core systems.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop our core systems from scratch.
- Deploy and maintain the product on AWS.
- Make strategic technical decisions.
- Commit to best practices for testing, logging, and deployments
- Help build the engineering team & subsequently mentor junior developers.
Requirements:
- 6+ years’ experience as a backend engineer.
- Expert in Python and Django.
- Experience with databases (Postgres, Redis etc. ).
- Good understanding of platforms (Docker, AWS).
- Basic understanding of Dev Ops.
- Previous experience architecting and scaling back-end systems
- Hands-on attitude and ability to drive solutions to completion.

Today, business owners manage attendance on pen-paper, calculate salaries on excel and pay employees in cash. Using Salarybox, the entire process can be performed at the click of a button. What typically takes 5 days, can be done in 5 minutes using our App.
We launched in January 2021 and already have over 500,000 downloads on the Google Play Store.
What will you do
- Design and build advanced app features for Android
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work on MVP & MVVM architecture for building apps
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Mobile Applications to back-end services
- Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
This role requires
- 1+ years experience in Java, Kotlin
- Good working knowledge of design patterns OOAD
