As a Website Developer-Shopify at Skillinabox, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and scaling our tech products and learning platforms. Working closely with developers, product managers, and leadership, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our web applications and internal tools. This is a growth-focused role where you’ll sharpen your technical skills, contribute to real-world products, and eventually grow into a leadership role within the tech team.
Please Note: This is an entrepreneurial role where you will be joining the core team and working directly with founders and the board. We are looking for someone with high energy, curiosity, and hunger to grow with us and build a strong career in EdTech & Skill-Tech.

Key Responsibility Areas
Web & Shopify Development:
- Develop, customize, and maintain company websites and Shopify stores using modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Feature Implementation:
- Build new features, customize Shopify themes, integrate apps, and improve existing modules for better user experience.
- Performance & Optimization:
- Ensure website speed, responsiveness, and SEO-friendly structure across devices.
- Testing & Debugging:
- Identify bugs, fix issues, and ensure smooth deployment of features and updates.
- Reports and Analysis:
- Monitor website and store performance, traffic, and user behavior to improve product quality.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with design, marketing, and content teams to align technical development with business goals.
- Team Creation:
- Assist in building and onboarding small remote tech teams over time.
Who we are looking for?
- 0–3 years of experience in Full Stack / shopify Development
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify and at least one framework (React, Angular, or similar)
- Working knowledge of backend technologies (Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- Highly motivated individual who enjoys building scalable products
- Hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying web applications
- Willing to get your hands dirty and push forward for growth
- Has the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Wants to grow 100x with us

This role is ideal for engineers with 5+ years of total experience, including strong hands-on software development experience and 1+ year of technical leadership experience, with a proven track record of shipping complex projects successfully.

Role Overview
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll ensure that projects don’t just get built — they get shipped. You’ll be the driving force behind architecture design, technical decision-making, project delivery, and stakeholder communication.

What We’re Looking For

- Proficiency in system design, service ownership, and technical documentation.
- Strong experience with code reviews and quality assurance practices.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Track record of delivering complex projects on time.
