About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our high-performance team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our web applications and services, with the primary focus being on the Backend part. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying scalable and robust backend solutions that power our platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and frontend engineers, to develop and enhance backend features and functionalities.
- Implement and optimize database models, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs using Django and DRF to enable seamless integration with our web and mobile applications. Occasionally contribute to the design and development of web applications.
- Enhance the integration and usage of various AWS services such as S3, Cloudfront, SQS, Batch, etc.
- Develop containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of backend systems.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and participate in technical discussions to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential applications to enhance our infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve backend issues, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted user experience.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, estimation, and sprint planning.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework. Working understanding of web development and frontend languages such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- Strong understanding and experience working with relational databases, SQL, Postgres, and Django’s ORM.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize backend systems.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Familiarity with source control and hands-on experience with Git.
- Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to deliver high-quality code on time and according to specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Must Have
- Proficiency in Python, Django, Django Rest Framework.
- Working understanding of web development and frontend languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding and experience working with relational databases, SQL, Postgres and Django's ORM.
Good-to-have
- Experience with video processing, including transcoding, streaming, or video analysis.
