A rapidly growing healthcare-fintech organisation is looking for an experienced State Head to lead sales, partnerships, and business operations across Visakhapatnam and the state region. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of market growth and P&L.
Role Overview
The State Head will be responsible for expanding market presence, driving revenue, managing distributor networks, developing hospital & corporate partnerships, and leading high-performing teams across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead state-level sales strategy and deliver revenue targets
- Manage existing distributors and onboard new partners across key locations
- Build strong relationships with hospital administrators, doctors, and finance teams
- Lead hospital empanelments, corporate tie-ups, and medical camp initiatives
- Recruit, train, and manage Sales, BD, HR, and Training teams
- Oversee sales operations, reporting, forecasting, and CRM hygiene
- Own the state-level P&L and ensure profitable growth
- Collaborate with internal teams for campaigns and business initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10–15 years of experience in Sales, Distribution, or Business Leadership
- Strong experience in Telecom, FMCG, Insurance, Retail, Banking, FMCD, or Paints/Cements
- Proven track record in distributor/channel management
- Experience with P&L ownership at the regional/state level
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
- Familiarity with metro and Tier-1 market dynamics
Qualification
- Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business (preferred)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Create area sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
- Achieve business targets of the area for various quarters as well as the financial year
- Develop, manage and fulfillment of an efficient distribution network to improve sales performance
- Building the AffordPlan brand within the defined hospital network zone
- Maintaining strong relationships with doctors, and customers.
- Implement innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
- Identify hiring needs, select and train new executives.
- Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency
- Able to convert leads from various channels.
- Forecasting daily MIS on product performance across all branches.
- Developing, Constructing and Cooperative working relationship with the employee of the mapped branch.
Requirement:
- Proven work experience as Area Sales Manager, Territory, Zone Manager or similar senior sales role
- Minimum 4 years of experience required in B2C sales (preferring Industry - BFSI Insurance/Retail & distribution/ Telecom/Consumer Durables).
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (Profit and KPIs)
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Availability to travel as needed

Key Responsibilities:
Brand Development
To ensure integrated and consistent brand communications across marketing, media relations, digital
media and publications on all aspects of the company’s work.
Significantly contributing to the development of the overall business strategy through the identification
of content trends. Completely own content strategy and execution.
To represent Affordplan professionally across all content platforms.
Asset Development
Contribute to Affordplan’s thought-leadership in the industry through the development of robust and
effective multi-format content aligned with wider marketing strategy and campaigns.
Creating clear Product Messaging, including Positioning, Features & Benefits and USP’s for the
Affordplan Proposition for the website, social media, and other brand assets.
Create newsletters and email direct mailers for intended mailing list and customer base.
Research and curate content for digital dissemination including blog pieces, opinion pieces, medical
awareness articles, scripts for videos, e-books, guides, media releases etc.
Creation of sales tools and training modules; including white papers, presentations, collateral, website
content and social content
Working with the Marketing team on PR and Product Review Programs
Working with customers to generate success stories, testimonials and other user generated content.
Skills Required
English Proficiency (Spoken) and English Proficiency (Written)
Good familiarity with digital channels and social media
The Candidate should have excellent communication skills.
Ability to take initiatives.
Extremely comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Creative and analytical thinker; fast learner.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelors in Journalism, Mass Communication, English from a college of repute.
