Firmware Development Engineer
Position Summary:
As a Firmware Engineer in the New Product Development group, you will contribute to designing, developing, and delivering high-quality embedded solutions for electric actuator products. This role involves working across the full product lifecycle, from interpreting requirements to implementation and testing, ensuring alignment with Emerson’s standards for reliability, innovation, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable and compliant firmware solutions that meet both technical and regulatory expectations.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design, implement, and enhance firmware for electric actuators, ensuring seamless integration with hardware systems
- Develop firmware solutions from concept through deployment, including coding, debugging, validation, and release activities
- Analyze and optimize firmware for performance, efficiency, and reliability against defined specifications
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to enable smooth system integration
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to resolve technical issues and improve product quality

For This Role, You Will Need:
