Job Summary: 

The Powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) Specialist having responsibilities for developing and managing the diagnostic trouble codes for powertrain systems. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of diagnostic solutions that meet quality and regulatory standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• DTC Development and Management: 
• Experience in Diagnostics and Fault Management 
• Developing powertrain diagnostic strategies and DTCs, understanding of DTC Structure. 
• Ensure that diagnostic systems meet OBD I and II (On-Board Diagnostics) standards. 
• Maintain and update the DTC related Documents as new systems are developed and existing 
• systems are modified. 
• Knowledge of ISO14229. 
• Experienced programming with C/C++ 

Collaboration and Communication with Testing and Validation Team: 

• Working closely with the validation and vehicle testing teams for resolving reported issues to improve overall vehicle performance. 
• Based on testing & validate feedback: Analyzing, Diagnosing, Debugging and troubleshooting reported software issues, providing effective solutions. 
• Coordinate with software developers to ensure seamless operation and accurate reporting of DTCs. 
• Perform root cause analysis for diagnostic emissions and drivability cases. 

Documentation and Reporting: 

• Prepare comprehensive documentation for diagnostic algorithms and code functionalities. 
• Report on the performance and accuracy of diagnostic systems 

Support and Training: 

• Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers regarding diagnostic 
• systems. 
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions 

Duties:

• Embedded Software Development in C

•Design and development of software based on Autosar architecture

• Integration & verification of the developed SW components

•Debugging and error analysis

•Create design documents

•Participate in Design & Code reviews

Qualifications:

•University degree in electrical/electronics engineering, computer science or similar

•Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development

• Solid C programming skills

• Ideally with Autosar experience

•Knowledge on Functional Safety (ISO 26262)

• Familiar with Vector tools like DaVinci Configurator, Geny, CANoe, etc..

•Knowledge of scripting tools like Python, CAPL, etc.

Desired Candidate profile:

• 5+ years of Embedded/Linux SW Development relevant Experience in Embedded C++. 
• Expert knowledge in writing software for embedded Systems (Embedded C++ language).
• Experience on OTA would be an added advantage
• Work experience in software development on bare metal, RTOS or Internal Linux. 
• Work experience in developing firmware for 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers (ARM, RISC etc)
• Good understanding w.r.t usage of 1. RTOS like MQX. 
• Bootloader and software update concepts. 
• Communication protocols like TCP/IP,MQTT. 
• Socket programming in Linux environment. 
• Good knowledge on protocols like (RS485, SPI, I2C, ADCs, CAN, LIN) 
• Knowledge of Blue-tooth communication protocols for BLE 4.2/5.1. 
• Proficient in the use of embedded SW Development tool chain (Flash/ debug tool chain, IDE).

Hands-on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows.

• Sound understanding of embedded SW development using C on 32/64 bit microcontrollers.

• Experience in at least one of microcontroller architectures: Renesas RH family, Tricore or PowerPC architecture.

• Automotive Product Development Process knowledge (ASpice, ISO26262)

• Experience in one or more of Autosar BSW Modules stacks.

• Autosar based SWcs development in any domain of cluster, ADAS and IVI system.

• Com stack (FlexRay, CAN, LIN, Ethernet) / Memory Stack/ Diagnostic stack/ OS, Wdg, other services.

• Working knowledge on AUTOSAR ECU software architecture

• Understand the various features provided by AUTOSAR BSW modules and configure BSW modules in Davinci Configurator or similar tools

• Understand the AUTOSAR application (SW-C) configuration and the interaction of AUTOSAR applications (SW-C) with the underlying BSW modules

• Understand the functionality of RTE, mapping of application entities with BSW module parameters, OS scheduling concepts, ECU and BSW module state changes

• Understand the AUTOSAR methodology (ECU extract contents, import of ECU extract into configuration tool)

Understand the flow of the AUTOSAR software from application till the underlying driver.

• Coordination and regular interaction with different stakeholders and teams like testing, requirements, leads etc.

Requirement:

• 3-7 years of experience in development of Algorithm & Functions for advance driver assist systems (ADAS), Autonomous driving (AD)
• Development experience with safety critical systems
• Experienced in development using MATLAB Simulink, TargetLink, Stateflow
