Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware systems based on microcontrollers and SoCs
• Develop, test, and optimize embedded firmware in C/C++
• Perform schematic design, component selection, PCB review, and board bring-up
• Develop low-level drivers for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, etc.)
• Debug hardware/firmware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, testing, manufacturing)
• Support product validation, compliance testing, and production release
• Prepare technical documentation and design reports
• Collaborate directly with founders and product teams
• Take products from prototype to manufacturing

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems
• Strong embedded C/C++ skills
• Experience with microprocessors/microcontrollers, SOCs’
• Experience in power supply designs, analog and digital interfaces.
• Experience in schematic design & PCB review
• Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG
• Deep understanding of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.)

You should be comfortable moving between hardware and firmware without hesitation.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Linux systems, cloud infrastructure automation, and network administration, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and performance. ensuring firewall/network security compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) for system and cloud infrastructure operations.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux servers in production environments
• Familiarity with Network tools in Linus to triage network connectivity and performance issues .
• Configure, maintain, and secure network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Linux Device Driver Engineer with strong C/C++ programming skills and hands-on experience in Linux driver development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with kernel modules and hardware interfaces, and be comfortable debugging and optimizing low-level system software.

Key Responsibilities

• Porting existing Linux device drivers to new platforms, SoCs, and kernel versions.

Primary skills:

At least 3+ years of working experience on embedded firmware development

- Experience in multithreaded programming, network programming (wired and wireless protocols), real-time programming, cross-platform and cross-language development

- Hands-on experience on driver development for various sensors

- Working knowledge of communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, etc

- Product development experience with range of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, adoption of bare-metal, RTOS and Linux operating systems on new platforms

IIT Hyderabad in collaboration with top Indian institutes including IITM, CEWiT, IITD, IITK, IISC and SAMEER is building the largest 5G testbed of the country, with the support of Department of Telecommunications (DoT) Govt. of India. This project will create a 5G prototype and testing platform that will be developed under the guidance of IIT-H faculty.
The project will deliver an end-to-end 5G testbed comprising 5G BS and UE nodes that support enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), Ultra low latency communication (URLLC), and massive MTC including NB IoT services. The operating frequently includes both sub 6 GHz and mmwave frequencies. The system will exceed IMT 2020 5G performance requirements including Low Mobility Large Cell (i.e.., LMLC) targets introduced by India at ITU.
The 'Indigenous 5G Testbed' project is a long-term effort with a team of 100+ researchers/engineers based out of IIT-H campus.
