Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to lead and manage multiple Finance & Accounting projects for our US-based BPO operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US Accounting standards (GAAP), with proven expertise in O2C, R2R, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, Vendor Management, and strong hands-on skills in Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentations. You will be responsible for driving performance, managing a team, delivering client KPIs, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead multiple projects in US-based F&A operations
- Handle end-to-end team management including workload allocation, mentoring, and performance reviews
- Oversee Order to Cash (O2C), Record to Report (R2R), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) cycles
- Perform and supervise bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, NSF checks, two-way and three-way matching processes
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and company-specific compliance standards
- Prepare and deliver high-quality Excel reports and client-facing PowerPoint presentations
- Coordinate with onshore teams to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
- Track and report team KPIs, SLAs, and process improvements
- Identify gaps in processes and recommend automation or optimization techniques
- Serve as the escalation point for any operational or client issues
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in team and project management in US BPO Operations
- 10+ years of total experience in US Accounting and F&A processes
- In-depth understanding of GAAP, O2C, R2R, AP/AR, and Reconciliation processes
- Expertise in two-way / three-way invoice matching and NSF check handling
- Strong command over Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under pressure
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in night shifts/US shifts is mandatory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting
- Relevant certifications like CPA, CMA, or CA (Inter) would be a plus
