Node.js Developer Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.

2. At least two years' experience as a Node.js developer.

3. Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.

4. Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.

8. Availability to resolve urgent web application issues outside of business hours.

Job Description

• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working website.
• Collaborate with the frontend team, and enable connectors with WordPress REST API and other tech platforms

Requirements

Relevant experience

• 2-4 years’ experience in authoring and developing for CMS’s including but not limited to WordPress

Required qualification

• University degree or equivalent diploma in technology and computer science.

Essential skills

• Good Overall knowledge of PHP
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Knowing the nuances of WordPress Themes – Installation and Configuration
• Knowing the nuances of WordPress Plugins with good coverage of which plugin is best suited for a particular requirement, and confidence to research plugins as well
• Knowledge of WP Caching, WP Query Object and WP Database Structure
• Knowledge of Knowledge of WordPress Scalability
• Knowing the nuances of WordPress editor with good coverage of which editor is best suited for a particular requirement, and confidence to research plugins as well
• Hands On Experience with Gutenberg Editor and Blocks
• Awareness of the WP Library, and Architectural Concepts is a must
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working Wordpress pages
• Willingness to quickly learn new frameworks, changing theme market with ready updates on not just WordPress, but also PHP.

Nice to Have

• It would be good to have exposure to multiple CMSs like Shopify, Magento
• It would be good to have the ability to develop WordPress Plugins and Themes From scratch
• Experience on at least one PHP Framework (CodeIgniter, Laravel, YII)
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Knowledge of WordPress REST API
• Knowledge of WooCommerce

We are seeking an experienced web developer to join our friendly team to participate in the development of the next-generation app.

You will take a lead role in the technical side of our company with room to grow as we continue to grow.

Technologies/Frameworks: PHP, Laravel, Lumen, mySQL/postgres, react,

Skills Required :

- Extensive experience in PHP and Laravel (OOP experience).

- REST APIs and Integrations technologies

- JSON Language and scripting

- Familiarity with Bitbucket (Git), Node

- Database Management tools such as MySQL.

- Comfortable working with JavaScript and jQuery

- Understanding of coding best practices.

What you'll do :

- Work with us to contribute and plan ideas for features and improvements to the platform. Write clean, functional code on back-end to develop new features, integrations and refine existing ones.

- Help to improve our platform by refactoring existing code (PHP/Laravel/JavaScript). Work with, and sometimes manage the work of external contract developers.

This role is accountable for leading a team, developing code, deploying and managing in production. Most importantly, the EM, while working with the Product owners drives the product Net promoter score (NPS), user satisfaction, building the product roadmap and delivering highly functional, exceptionally innovative and intelligent software. You will be called upon to be the technical representative for your team during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll take the lead as you - drive product development, operations and technical decision making. You’ll have a strong focus on team management and development, equal focus will be on writing production code and hands on active development of the capabilities and solutions. Assist in defining infrastructure need and use enterprise solution and drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment. Manage overall software development cycle by adhering to development and security standards. Establish good stakeholder communication and work closely with Product teams and influence set product roadmap and help drive requirements while being a strong advocate of extreme agile and DevOps practices across engineers. Build and manage a team of high performing full stack engineers and provide leadership, coaching, motivation and recommend staffing levels, operating procedures, tools and systems for the team. Provide career development and performance management to a team of engineers.

Required Candidate Profile

• 4 year degree in or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of engineering (software development) experience
• 1-3 years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional product experience with Cloud hosting and managing products
• Proficient in building high performing APIs and writing specs
• Expertise in programming languages. Hands on experience in Java, J2ee technologies is preferred.
• Experience in SAP Hybris Commerce would be a plus
• Experience with integration, data handling technologies and other open source frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
• Team-orientated, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
• Successful track record of working in large scale technology solutions
• Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology including continuous integration and delivery, with a mindset of building incrementally and delivering business value quickly
