The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle. They should have experience in designing, coding, testing and consistently managing applications They should be comfortable coding in a number of languages and have an ability to test code in order to maintain high-quality code.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
2+ years of experience working with .NET C#
Experience developing web-based & desktop based applications in C#, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript/ASP, or .NET
Experience working with MS SQL Server and MySQL Knowledge of practices and procedures for full software design life cycle
Experience working in an agile development environment

● We believe that the role of an engineer at a typical product company in India has to evolve from just working in a request response mode to something more involved.
● Typically an engineer has very little to no connection with the product, its users, overall success criteria or long term vision of the product that he/she is working on.
● The system is not setup to encourage it. Engineers are evaluated on their tech prowess and very little attention is given to other aspects of being a successful engineer.
● We don’t hold appraisals as we don’t believe that evaluation of work and feedback is a constant affair rather than every 6 or 12 months. Besides there is no better testament of your abilities than the growth of the product.
● We don’t have a concept of hierarchy and hence we don’t have promotions. All we have in Udaan are Software Engineers.

You will be responsible for:
● Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP SAAS applications on portal plus
premium service platforms.
● Should be individual contributor and able to handle frontend and backend.
● Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team,
testing teams.
● Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, JQuery and Microservices
● Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
● Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
● Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post

Roles and Responsibilities: ● Build a low latency serving layer that powers DataWeave's Dashboards, Reports, and Analytics functionality ● Build robust RESTful APIs that serve data and insights to DataWeave and other products ● Design user interaction workflows on our products and integrating them with data APIs ● Help stabilize and scale our existing systems. Skills and Requirements: ● 5-7 years of experience building and scaling APIs and web applications. ● Experience building and managing large scale data/analytics systems. ● Have a strong grasp of CS fundamentals and excellent problem solving abilities. Have a good understanding of software design principles and architectural best practices. ● Be passionate about writing code and have experience coding in multiple languages, including at least one scripting language, preferably Python. ● Be able to argue convincingly why feature X of language Y rocks/sucks, or why a certain design decision is right/wrong, and so on. ● Be a self-starter—someone who thrives in fast paced environments with minimal ‘management’. ● Have experience working with multiple storage and indexing technologies such as MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic. ● Good knowledge (including internals) of messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. ● Use the command line like a pro.
