Senior Backend Developer /Backend Developer

Hiring for the position of Backend Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.

Your primary focus will be the development of all server side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Role

●        Create and consume restful APIs

Requirement

∙ Proficient in Node.JS

∙ 2+ years’ experience designing, querying, and updating databases in MySQL/nosql 

∙ Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

∙ Good to have knowledge of AWS, Redis, ElasticSearch

Education: Min. Graduate in related discipline

Work experience: 2 years relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot
• Develop and optimize queries in MongoDB, including aggregation and indexing
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement requirements

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Core Java
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot (REST APIs, Security, Data)
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (CRUD operations, schema design)
• Experience with Microservices architecture

Golang Developer

Experience: Minimum 4 years

About the Tech

Technology and our people is what makes Tide possible. We work in autonomous teams where backend, iOS, Android, web, QA, DevOps, agile coaches, data experts and product owners solve difficult problems together to get the job done. On the backend we see Java 8 as legacy and use Java 11+ for our micro-services. We provide RESTful APIs to our colleagues in the frontend, but also use gRPC for internal service-to-service communications. Spring Boot is our work horse, but we are open to new experiments.
