Content Operations Specialist 

Location: Work from home

Type: Primarily contract based 

Nature of work: Full-time.

As a Content Operations Specialist at Pratilipi Marathi, you will closely work with our Content Operations lead and other language owners to ensure delighting millions of readers via content curation. You will be the one who gets to decide which content list goes on our App and Website homepage. You will run writing competitions for thousands of authors. You will focus on the health and hygiene of your language by filtering content from the backend. You will get to decide which content goes into our social media. 

In short - you will own a content funnel in Pratilipi Marathi. We are looking for extraordinarily creative and logical personalities to create great experiences for our authors and build great reading experiences for our readers. 

What we are looking for in a person:

You must be passionate about stories and literature. Strong and commendable verbal and written communication skills in both Marathi and English are a MUST. You are hungry for growth and learning. You should be super organized, take ownership of each initiative, and have a curious mindset to learn new tools and techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite is required, as is the ability to prioritize tasks and frequently multitask. You must have a deep love for Pratilipi, aspire to work with authors and make a positive impact in the language literature world.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will be closely working with our Content Operations team and take end-to-end ownership of Writing competitions in your language. You will work on ideas around writing competitions, You will create and translate drafts, rules, and value systems around competitions. You will be in charge of competition results and rewards mechanisms. 
• You will understand user funnels and take up focused initiatives to scale event participation and published content numbers. 
• You will do regular content sanity checks based on necessary metrics and choose the best content for the Pratilipi Premium section.
• You will do awesome vibrant translations of articles whenever required, by fully understanding the content needs.
• You will choose which story goes in front of readers on our Facebook channel. You will select creatives to engage readers in each story. 
• You will be an admin of our large social media page and group, where you will approve daily published content and establish communication and customer success. 
• You will be working on the health and hygiene of the platform by removing pirated content, hate speech, and explicit content. 
• You will read all event content and curate the highest quality event results based on necessary metrics and what is best suited for the Pratilipi community.
• You will reply to user queries over email and help them with any kind of issues related to Pratilipi events. 
• You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day content needs of our product managers in order to run different experiments. Your content would go to millions of readers each day.

Interview process:

• We won’t look for an experience.
• We would take interviews over a few phone calls and Zoom. 
• Expect one or two assignments once you clear the first round of interviews.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture,applications and modules
• Experience with integrations between ServiceNow and other
  tools/systems
• Proficient in all phases of the Application Development
  lifecycle with experience in an agile environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with
  experience interacting with clients at multiple levels
• ServiceNow certifications are preferred
• Experience with Knowledge Base platforms, ideally
  ServiceNow Knowledge Management application is a plus

• Interacting with the clients to understand their requirements and translating it to the developer to take it forward
• Acting as a liaison between end users/clients and internal teams and helping them fulfil client requests and resolving queries with optimum time and efforts
• Contributing to implement various solutions in the existing process flow of clients using our products and helping to communicate concepts to the product team to enhance the future product requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

• CA, CFA, or related field
• Excellent communication and task management skills
• In depth knowledge of the various Income Tax Department websites, portals, and their workings, etc
• In depth knowledge of the Income Tax Department rules, regulations, guidelines, due-dates, services, facilities, etc
• In depth knowledge of Income Tax return filing processes using XML Upload, JSON Upload, Prefilled JSON, etc
• In depth knowledge of the Income Tax Filing Regimes
• In depth knowledge of Income Tax XML responses, JSON responses, data points pertaining to calculation of Financial Rations, Balance Sheet, P&L, etc
• In depth knowledge of E-Return Intermediaries and their rules, regulations, guidelines, permissions, compliances, etc
• Passable knowledge of GST, GST Portal and GST filing processes
• A good working knowledge of the financial industry and regulatory environment
• Ability to quickly grasp the various data sources that the company covers and gaining a hold over them over a period of time
• Understanding and translating statistics to address client business problems and liaisoning with the analytics team to build and deliver custom solutions
• Good understanding of Data query languages like SQL, MS Office, R/Python (good to have) and other statistical analysis tools
• Ability to be creative, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems

Scope:

• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of technical development and maintenance as well as participating as an active member of the team.
• To provide technical support for the web scrapping application
• Customer & Stakeholder communication & Reporting
• To build, modify and manage Java or Python code along with Apache Nutch
• Contribute towards web crawler product development

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and assign the development and maintenance related work assigned from customer’s end to the team on regular basis.
• Regular Code / Script Reviews, Development of Java code & Python Scripts for web scraping
• Be the point of contact when it comes to technical escalations and communicate to customer or to internal team
• Analyze, Design and Develop web crawler product using JAVA spring boot and Apache storm
• Record and track team SLAs and workflows
• Should able to assist the team members in troubleshooting or understanding the technical issues
• Monitor team performance and report on metrics
• Create/Modify web page templates
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on the scripts running in production environment
• Provide email or chat support to customer of assigned activities
• Understanding on SVN or other source code management and ticketing system
• Experience in Netbeans/Eclipse/PyCharm/IntelliJ IDE
• Ensure all issues are properly logged

Required Skills:

• Must have hands-on experience in Core Java 1.8, Java Spring boot, Mysql, XPath, Linux
• Experience in troubleshooting Java /Python based applications
• Should be good in Regex and Xpath
• Good in communication, both oral and written
• Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve customer support tickets
• Motivation to learn new skills and technologies
• Previous experience in managing teams

Preferred Skills:

• Apache Nutch, Storm, Solr, Elastic Search, Scrapy, Python, Groovy scripts, RESTful APIs
• Handled HTML/XML data format
