Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join our team. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. The ideal candidate should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive and compelling story.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list
• Trimming footage segments and putting together the sequence of the film
• Inputting sound and audio files and reviewing and adjusting the levels of the sound to ensure the best quality
• Manipulating the video to achieve a desired outcome
• Rearranging and modifying footage to create a seamless final product
• Selecting the appropriate video effects and transitions to enhance the video
• Creating and inserting static and motion graphics
• Collaborating with the creative team to ensure the video meets project requirements
• Continuously discovering and implementing new editing technologies and industry's best practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing, preferably in a professional setting.
• Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
• Experience in motion graphics and animation software such as After Effects or Cinema 4D is a plus
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to take constructive feedback and work collaboratively with the team
