🎯 Role Overview :

We are hiring a Product Manager to build and scale core systems of a crypto exchange, including trading, payments, custody, and transaction flows. This is a backend-focused role requiring strong understanding of crypto and fintech systems.

🛠️ Mandatory Skills :

Crypto exchange operations, product management, payments/PSP integrations, blockchain basics (wallets, gas fees, transactions), APIs & backend systems, KYC/AML understanding.

🔧 Key Responsibilities :

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle (discovery → delivery)
• Define deposit & withdrawal flows (validation, settlement, reconciliation)
• Manage payment integrations (banking rails, PSPs, on/off ramps)
• Work with engineering on APIs, system workflows, and integrations
• Handle third-party integrations (custody, liquidity providers)
• Define requirements for KYC, AML, compliance & risk systems
• Create PRDs, workflows, and product documentation
• Collaborate across Engineering, Ops, Compliance, and Finance

• 3+ years of Product Management in Crypto / Fintech
• Strong understanding of crypto exchange operations
• Knowledge of payments (PSPs, bank transfers)
• Understanding of blockchain basics (wallets, gas fees, confirmations)
• Experience with APIs & backend systems

Role & Responsibilities

As a Staff Engineer at Locus, you will play a critical role in defining and driving our backend architecture as we scale globally. You’ll own key systems that handle high volumes of data and transactions, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability across distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities-

• Own one or more core applications end-to-end, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex, distributed systems, frameworks, and libraries aligned with Locus’s technical strategy.
• Drive engineering operational excellence by defining robust roadmaps for system reliability, observability, and performance improvements.
• Analyze and optimize existing systems for latency, throughput, and efficiency, ensuring they perform at scale.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Establish and uphold coding standards, conduct design and code reviews, and promote best practices across teams.
• Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies, frameworks, and patterns to strengthen Locus’s technology foundation.
• Contribute to hiring by identifying and attracting top-tier engineering talent.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong staff engineer profile
• Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 9+ years in backend engineering with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices building large and schalable systems
• Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have been SDE-3 / Tech Lead / Lead SE for at least 2.5 years
• Mandatory (Tech skills 1): Strong in DSA, system design, design patterns, and problem-solving
• Mandatory (Tech skills 2): Proven experience building scalable, reliable, high-performance distributed systems
• Mandatory (Tech skills 3): Hands-on with SQL/NoSQL databases, REST/gRPC APIs, concurrency & async processing
• Mandatory (Tech skills 4): Experience in AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and observability/monitoring
• Mandatory (Communication): Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied stakeholders
• Mandatory (Company): Product companies (B2B SAAS preferred)
• Mandatory (Stability): Must have stayed for at least 2 years with each of the previous companies
• Mandatory (Education): B.Tech in computer science from Tier 1, Tier 2 colleges

Key Skills required (Items in Bold are mandatory keywords) :

1. In depth, hands-on knowledge of STLC and Automation Testing
2. Creating Test Cases and Test Case execution
3. Strong experience with Test Planning
4. Strong production experience with testing tools - Jira, Zing and other popular tools
5. Experience in Core Java, JavaScript
6. Industry experience with Java Selenium, Appium and other test automation tools
7. Experience with Validation, Functional, Cross Browser and UI Testing
8. Strong understanding of payment gateway testing and processes
9. Hands on experience in testing Web and Mobile Applications
10. Experience with cloud testing tools like BrowserStack and/or pCloudy
11. Experience with API testing using Postman

* Candidates must have Real Estate Knowledge,

* In-house drafting of all Documents MOU, Agreement to Sell, Sale Deeds, payment collections, and the bank loan process.

* Should have a minimum experience of 2 to 4 years in CRM and managing teams.

* handled Real Estate CRM.

* Candidate must have Real Estate Knowledge with min 2 - 4 years of experience.

* In-house drafting of all Documents MOU, Agreement to Sell, Sale Deeds, payment collections, and the bank loan process.

* Collections, preparation documentation, Bank docs.

Technical & Business Expertise:

-Hands on integration experience in SSIS/Mulesoft
- Hands on experience Azure Synapse
- Proven advanced level of writing database experience in SQL Server
- Proven advanced level of understanding about Data Lake
- Proven intermediate level of writing Python or similar programming language
- Intermediate understanding of Cloud Platforms (GCP) 
- Intermediate understanding of Data Warehousing
- Advanced Understanding of Source Control (Github)
